Wow, you obviously know nothing about soccer. If the EU formed a team it would smash the US to bits. , it would probably even smash the Brazilians to bits. I wonder if our international friends feel like jumping out the window when ignorant rednecks such as yourself post nonsense like this.Stick to football, not futbol.

yeah MATE i bet you love the EU like no other, you would sport an entire EU KIT, gotta show your pride brah

its true though im just country boy from texas who likes american football and smoked sausage

whats funny is that USA crushed those castillian maricons de playa espana and SOCCER is our 5th most popular sport, only SMALL WHITE KIDS from the SUBURBS play soccer after the age of 7, its a baby sport

stick to biscuits and the european union

Great win for USA, but somehow it doesn't surprise me. Spain almost always chokes on Tournaments, specially when marked as the favorites to take the cup.

0-0 RSA playing well into the 37th minute. Brazil looks to be flat and looking ahead to the final. We all know that the Brazilians are magnificent on the counter-attack so this score could change very quickly

Late to this because I was tied up with some stuff yesterday, but I have to say that was a great win for the USA -- particularly at this point in time, when the confidence of the Americans seemed to be reaching some significant lows after the drubbing in Costa Rica, the eeked out win over Honduras, the second half withering against Italy, and the curb-stomping at the hands of the Brazilians. Beating Egypt soundly was an overdue result for a side that frequently struggles with inferior opponents in these sorts of tournaments; qualifying for the semifinals in this tournament was mostly a matter of some really good fortune. Beating Spain impressively, however, seems a possible turning point for USA Soccer; if Brazil get through and USA can post a good result in the Final (and maintain the sliver of attention that yesterday's result brought) the momentum will be significant -- better still to get a result at Azteca when qualifying resumes.

Brazil wins, but not impressively. This highlights the difference between a team like the US and Brazil. When the Brazilians don't show up, they can still usually find a way to win while the US...I'll just refer you to the first round of this tournament. I don't think the US wins against Brazil, but, as fromwaydowntown said, a good effort will go a long way toward beating the Mexicans at Azteca. That match will be far more important than the confed cup, with the US looking to end it's winless ways in the smog-choked al ude of Mexico City. I believe the key for the Americans against Brazil is the midfield getting back to help on D and taking advantage of set pieces. For Brazil, they just need to counter off US mistakes(of which there will be many) and finish. Key players will be Dempsey for the US and Robinho for the Brazilians, who was lackluster against RSA. If the American midfield allows the Brazilians to pound away on the US end like they did the Spaniards it could get ugly.
    My score, 2-1 Brazil.
As for where Ronaldinho is, Dunga(brazils manager) dropped him from the roster

now usa are contenders for next year
Woah there, impressive performance and great win for you guys, but don´t get over excited. In the world cup you have to go through not one, but several games of such difficulty, and you´re out at the first mistake. I don´t think you´re quite there yet. Still, if you keep it up I could see you there in the not so distant future, considering your progression and sheer market size.

If the USA somehow manages to win a FIFA world cup, football (or soccer) would go from beign the most popular sport in the world to the only sport in the world.

Brasil did not play very well this evening. With the right spirit and a touch of luck, USA could even win it.

I heard that the Americans have become HUGE over there...anyone know if this is true? Because of their heart and determination, I've heard they've become like the biggest rock stars of all the teams.
