FYI - Bayless and ESPN only give a about ratings which attracts sponsors and pays the bills. That's it. It's not personal, it's strictly business. They say what they feel makes them the most money.

Skip Bayless isnt a die hard Spurs fan. Never claimed to be. He just calls it like he sees it. Last year nobody picked the Spurs to win, not even die hard spurs fans. So how is he a bandwagoner???

Also, Bayless has been a Spurs apologist for a couple years now and i dont see nothing wrong with him talking against them here and there cause God knows Spurstalk does it every damn day....

He's not a fan, he just latches onto them to piss the other ESPN folks off. Last year they were old, thin, banged up and a complete nonfactor despite cruising through most of the season in second place in the west. It was pretty clear there was no point spending any airtime talking about them after Manu went down for good. I'm glad someone decides to be a thorn in the side of ESPN and even say the word "Spurs" on the air.

With the crappy ESPN and their Coastal coverage, it's good for one person to be a Spurs fan. Rome won't even bring up the Spurs. Cornheiser doesn't even know where the Spurs are located, or what division they're in.

Clearly the Spurs are a real threat now to win the West since Duncan, Parker and Ginobili have been getting rest after so many playoff battles. The addition of Jefferson and Blair, plus possibly signing Sheed, makes them a serious threat to win the West. For people that keep saying they are done, nope. You need to be healthy to win an NBA le, after so many playoff battles they became worn. They are recharging right now, I agree with Skip, they will be tough to beat.

I have no overall problem with him....he's pulled for the Seahawks on various occasions as well so he's cool in that regard. That covers all of my teams, lol. He's also the only one who has the balls to call LeBron out on stuff, even when he over does it for effect.

I think this playoffs showed that with a injuried manu and a no name center we weren't elite. Winning over nonspurs fans to say we have a chance at a le just isn't going to happen with that type of team.

They aren't bandwagoning they are just saying who the contenders are.

Skip is not bad, and atleast he does bring attention to the spurs since no one else will. He calls out the big names, and he does usually stick to his statements. He jumped on the hornets wagon last year, but he is just calling it as he sees it.
