Do you really think a lot of these decisions will be made by the am? Seems pretty quick if teams aren't able to contact them until July 1st?
I'm going to stay up. I don't have to work tomorrow...I'm definitely going to be awake for a while.

yes..but at the same time, we already made a big move that none of us thought the FO would make, and I thought I saw somewhere that Holt told the guys to spend money, and do what it took to make this team a winner...
I wish somebody would let the cat out of the bag.
The anticipation is killing me.![]()
These things have been in the works for a while now, my friend...it just isn't legal until tomorrow. And the Spurs want Rasheed....bad....they'll get on it immediately, I'm sure. Just like Cuban saying "I want to be the first person to talk to Kidd." He's already talked to Kidd, you can bet on it...
I think that many of the decisions are already made (we'd be naive to think that there are no discussions taking place), but cannot be formally discussed until 11:00 pm CST this evening. You will see some players sign offer sheets right away and some will verbally commit, but we'll just have to wait to see if Rasheed is one of those that commit early.
Kinda sad as a Spurs fan that the most hyped FA signing was Finley, and now we are begging for him to leave the team!
Hopefully Sheed comes here, but if not, maybe the Spurs can quickly move towards Gortat.
Tanguay, the Celtics writer that "reported" this, supposedly will have some "new" news regarding the situation on his show right now..
The guy is back tracking a bit, as expected..
They're saying that Wallace is expected to visit Boston, and assume that he would be visiting the other cities that are looking for his services..so this might not be resolved as quickly as we want..
These guys could just be talking though, journalists are wrong and lie all the time..
In my opinion, Sheed wouldn't have a problem coming off the bench. But, Boston still doesn't make sense to me because Sheed as one of those underdog type of guys that like to see Stern's "favorites" go down. He'd be one of "them" if he joined the Celtics. But, with Sheed, who knows how he thinks?
How was Sheed and KG's on-court relationship during games JamStone?..joking and laughing around? anything?..
Nope. In fact, last summer in the conference finals, Sheed let Garnett skeet all over him in the paint, he was so gay for KG. In seriousness, I'm pretty sure the two of them genuinely like each other.
Hope Spur representatives are standing by in Orlando.
My mom (she's as big if not bigger of a Spurs fan than me) said she heard tonight that the Spurs top two FAs they were after were Rasheed and McDyess.
They were boyfriends in last year's conference finals.
Here is a Chris Broussard video about free agents, mentions Sheed and the Spurs:

Man...I like Broussard too..he's usually pretty spot on. I hope he's right.
I sure hope that this does not turn in to another Maggette kinda deal.... where we had to wait around for a loooong time before Maggette finally made his decision...![]()
Nice find.
first page clip. tangay seems pretty sure wallace is going to boston.

Yeah...but that was this morning....the Broussard clip is from tonight...I'm going to trust Broussard more than Tanguay...no offense.
Bucher was on ESPN right now and said that the celtics are wanting wallace pretty badly and they would be the one to make a offer tonight...he also mentioned that kevin has been contacting rasheed to play for them.....it will be interesting!
Different deal. Spurs were competing with teams that had much more money to offer. That is not the case now. Unless Portland gets nostalgic.
