there are only 4 people who have played 5+ games in the preseason and a handful of people with 4 games or less played. we need to get on the ball and do whatever we can to get this thing rolling and completed.
crc21209, you still haven't accepted the invite to play as the nuggets and take over for BruceBowenFan. is it not letting you accept the invite still?

Alright everyone pray for my ing X-Box 360. I got the the 3 red rings of death last month, sent it in for repair, got it back a week after I sent it in, and now I'm getting 2 red rings blinking on it (which means overheating). Everytime I play a game, it lets me play for about 10 mins then shuts off and is blinking the 2 red lights. Can anyone help?. Any ideas? I'm already planning to send it back in but I dont know. It sucks because I had just taken the Nuggets spot in this league!

I will play at least 1 game tonight. I was under the impression we only had to play 2-3 games a week, and I played 2 last week. This is my plan at least until we reduce quarter times substantially, 11 minutes is way too long still. The q's need to be 8, max if we are going to play more than a few games a week. I dunno about others but I can't stay interested in a game that long, especially a meaningless preseason game
and the problem lies in the fact that only 4 of us are on the myspace page where the voting polls are at... i can't make a sound judgement on qtr lengths if no one is going to vote because to me i'd just leave them at 12mins a piece but i know most don't like to play long qtrs like i do.
add the myspace page, vote, and i'll tally the votes up in a week and we can start Season2 is 1 to 2 wks regardless of how many games are left in preseason.
i've come to the conclusion, with lack of criticism, that most here are ok with the settings how they are except for the qtr lengths. let me reiterate what's been said already; add the myspace page and vote!

cool, I'm just saying about the games played ...
btw my myspace password and email allude me ... I haven't used a social network in ages. just cast my vote as to keep the sliders the same and reduce the q's time... we probably need another season to work out the kinks before we start adjusting sliders.
Luckily I think we might be able to keep this (the 2k league) an ST tradition for a while coming, especially as we get more and more efficient ... next season we're gonna need to move up to 2k10 though. (probably)
The actual maddsurf guy is taking over the remaining two games. z0sa you are one of the games he has to play. I'll have an ID ready for the next season. It's been good playing everyone and I have been happy with the sliders. I'm also happy and cool with the quarter lengths. 10-12mins are cool with me. 8mins maybe. 5mins way way to ing short. It's a league game so I think some time needs to be put into playing these games. I don't like games where I feel that I only run up and down the quarts a few times. Oh, and I know this is a bit far from now, but what about playoffs? If I win do I get a cool 2K9 gold playoff trophy?

ehhh, 5 mins is short but 6 is half an NBA game. How long do you want to be playing for? I personally don't have hours to devote to a single video game, nor will I ever ... I own too many games, and too many coming out at all times, to out just one...
save the 12 minute games for your association league homie, keep the quarters no more that 8 mins. 5 or 6 is prolly better. no one will ever finish the league if its at 24 minutes a half. I am seriously thinking you are looking for a way to make it fair by having really good teams/players play their scubs and rest their starters but it still doesnt matter homie, they are going to beat you reguardless. Has anyone come close to beating manu4tres yet? Dude good players are still going to win, just make the qrts 8 mins and start the league already.
your input is half as important these days to me... just sayin'. reread a couple pages back why i feel this way.
with that said, i understand everyone is a bit upset playing a full game at 48mins. it's understandable but still kind of perplexing to me considering we're going for "realism" but i get it. season2 will most likely be between 8-10 minutes a qtr. probably 8 minutes though.

read a couple posts back and you'd realize that i agree with the qtrs needing to be less even though i like 12 min qtrs.
Can we just start season 2 already. I'm in favor of the 8 minute quarters/ Fantasy draft/ trade committee/ and at least 6 more teams/ players to add to the 10 teams in the preseason.
did you place your vote on the official ST2K9 Myspizzle? You know it doesnt count unless you do. I wonder if he has a twitter...that way we can talk to each other while we are board playing 12 minutes quarters in our busy life.

so we can't even finish the ing pre-season! wtf. everyone's in here talkin about how they're gonna beast everyone and then they play 2 games....
we don't need a pre-season. people want shorter quarters and the game play to stay as is. it's not that hard.
LOOK IF YOU DONT LIKE HOW WE ARE "TWEAKING" THE SETTINGS YOU CAN JUST GO MAKE YOUR OWN LEAGUE....(I will join it too) UNTIL THEN SHUT YOUR PILE HOLE AND PLAY YOUR 2HOUR BALL GAME
