Can we get tmac instead?![]()
Houston loves Battier and he is now the only reliable linchpin veteran with Artest gone, Yao gone and T-Mac a not too reliable physical specimen.
You'd be better off with a thread on "why don't we just get another couple of superstars since there are so many of them playing in the same league."
Can we get tmac instead?![]()
I'll never forget the time I traded Brent Barry for Dwayne Wade straight up. As soon as I found out it would work I called up Pop and RC, but they wouldn't listen to me. Do you have any idea how many les we'd have by now?
I think I even worked Lebron in a separate deal too. We'd have Tim, Tony, Gino, Wade and Lebron on our team. That's like a guaranteed 3 extra les from when I did it. In fact, I think the Spurs would have won the le from 2005 to this past season. Think about that. 1999, 2003, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, and 2009. Duncan would have passed Jordan.
And all because the trade machine said it would work. Why didn't the FO listen to me?
Because you did not include Shane Battier as one of the superstars to get?![]()
According to Hollinger, both teams lose out on that deal. The Spurs would lose 2 more games while the Rockets lose an extra game. Too funny.
I just traded Jefferson to Cleveland for Lebron straight up. Then I dealt Bonner and Marcus Williams to OKC for Durant.
We could go small ball with Parker, Gino, Durant, Lebron and Duncan. That's a lot of athleticism on the floor with people who can score every which way imaginable.
RC, Pop, make it happen. LIKE YESTERDAY!!!!
I'd take Battier, but Houston won't take Bonner and Fin for him. I'd also take an evening with Nadia Bjorlin, but the likelihood of that happening, about the same as this trade proposal....
BTW, the two trades combined netted the Spurs an extra 34 wins. They would go from 54-28 last year to 88- (-)6 this year.
Do it.
