Yes, and people are lining up at their nearest travel agencies to book the ultimate vacation to, of all places, St. Paul, Minn.

I won't bash you much for you live in a state where my beloved Lakers have humble roots planted. Your safe.

Bankrupt State economy Riots Gang war Hollywood wannabees Yeah its a veritable Shangri la. The Only People who don't realize LA SUCKS. Are the native Angelinos that haven't moved away from there. You have no perspective.

Here is a quote from an E-mail from my Cuz Cuz out in Redondo about LA,

"yeah it can get real crazy out here at the drop of a hat and for no good reason sometimes too, it's seems like everyone wants to be a movie star like Clint Eastwood "go ahead make my day kinda " the cold part about it is that you never know who's acting or who's foreal. yeah I love my little quiet Redondo Beach who cares if Charles Manson went to the same High School that my kids go to what difference does that make?"

I was born and raised in SoCal boy. Don't come in here preaching about perspective. All major cities in the United States have a " -hole" element to them be it a barrio, slum, ghetto including your beloved St. Paul. Sure, L.A. and the surrounding southland has some crappy areas but being that you obviously aren't a much traveled lad, you wouldn't know. Instead, your world is Planet St. Paul and have yet to really experience the diversification of our countries cities both good and bad.

I now live here in San Antonio. Gorgeous city but it doesn't escape the reality that all major cities have; Some good folk. Some crappy folk.

    Get a clue kid.

"LA is not for Bruce" sounds a lot more like he he doesn't want to play for a bitter rival. The LA area has so much amazing outdoors to do, but it requires you turn off the tv.

LOL. Living there means you can up and decide to go some of the nicest beaches in the country with a 20-30 minute drive. Or take a quick daytrip and go skiiing at Mountain High or Big Bear. Or another daytrip and climb the rocks in Joshua Tree. Or another daytrip and climb up Mount San Jacinto, Big Baldy, or San Gorgonio. Or a ferry ride to Catalina Island. Or a 20 minute drive to hike Griffith Park. Or a spectacular drive up the Angeles Crest Highway to go up to Mount Wilson. Or a 45 minute drive to hike Vazquez Rocks. Or a spectacular drive up the 1 north from Santa Monica. Or a quick daytrip to sample wines in Santa Barbara. Or a free trip to the Getty Center to see Van Gogh, Monet, Manet, and lots of other famous paintings. You don't run out of to do living there.

LA is cool, but the Sierras are really the place to be in Cali if you're into stuff like hiking/climbing. Sequoia Park, Kings Canyon, Yosemite, Ansel Adams Wilderness, and the Inyo National Forest are incredible.

Ah the beaches are some of the best. Stayed in Long Beach for a few days. LA itself wasn't that impressive, but all that was around it, I liked. The weather was simply AMAZING!

Why would he replace the letter "C" with the letter "K"?

I'm pretty sure that's not how they do it, I was under the impression they replace a C with the letter B; as in "I'm having a bup of boffee."

(Also, LA sounds awesome, can't wait to visit there within the next few years.)

The Pastrami at Canter's is a must, if you ever visit the Hollywood area.
I'll second that. The lox is awesome too. Pretty much any sandwich is great, as is any soup. The bakery SUCKS though.

Whatever liberal. I am not talking politics here. Save it for another forum and spew your ignorant agendas elsewhere. Name your place and time and I'll show who the real fecal matter is right now sitting in the oval office.

We are talking about a basketball player here. And no, it wasn't a stupid comment. You must have had a real hardship early in your life Hater to think there are a**holes in all walks of life because unlike you, I know good people and smart ones at that.

JR is a thug and if he isn't a legitamate thug he sure in the acts like one and portrays one. I don't like that crud. I could care less what Charles Barkley said yerars ago regarding sports figures NOT BEING role models and that it was up to the parents to raise kids. That's a nice comment from that idiot but in the real world we both know kids eat up what they see on T.V.

You call yourself a Spurs fan? Tell me you would not want to see more David Robinsons playing sports than these JR types. Whether they like it or not, they DO HAVE a responsibility. But then again, what would your obvious political affiliation know about responsibility. And no, I have no hand outs.

YOUR comment was more than stupid. It was ridiculous on so many levels.
"I guess the saying is true; "You can take the kid out of the hood but you'll never take the hood out of the kid". "

It was a pretty ignorant comment honestly.

I forget the name of the bakery a few shops down, but they have some very good cherry and blueberry cheese danishes. The cheese cakes are to die for. Damn, I could go there now. If I'm going to Universal for a concert or comedy show, I always hit up Canters on my way back. The prices on the menu have sky rocketed over the years. I was shocked as when I was in Vegas and realized they had one in Treasure Island.
Is the quality the same at the Vegas Canter's?
