One could imagine Ray Allen's reaction if he did.
He also said that if Cuban called, he wouldn't answer. Mavs are not his thing. I think it's either San Antonio or retirement. If he went anywhere, I think it'd be Boston...but I don't set that either.

Bruno,
you posted this Friday. Did Bruce clear waivers?
I don't think any team picked up his contract, so yes, he cleared.
Are you a fan of players or teams?
Talked to Bruce. Celts/Cavs stuff bunch of rumors, No one could ever talk to him before Friday at 6pm.
If you want percentages. I'd say it's 90% retire right now. 5% Spurs, 5% any other team.
Someone has reached out, but wasn't much interest.
I could understand Spurs no re-signing Bruce if it's because they want to give playing time to Hairston. If not, it makes no sense.
RJ will defend top SG/SF. Sometimes, he will be in foul trouble and Spurs will need to put someone else on top SG/SF.
Will Mason, Hill, Manu, or Finley do a decent job on Kobe or Lebron ? I don't think so.
I second that!!![]()
Could/would teams talk to him beginning at 6:01pm Friday or do most teams not do business on weekends? Probably depends on the interest level, aye?
Did the Lakers blow the Grizz on a weekend for Gasol?
I think Haislip is Pop's ace in the hole. Athletic, long shot blocker who can move on the wing. Once you get past the starter, you're basically looking for a guy who can work hard on defense and give up six hard fouls.
It would be a nice gesture. But what's the minimum for an old guy this year - something like $1.3M? It's just hard to turn down that kind of money, if somebody is willing to pay it to you. And it's not like he'd be riding the end of the bench for the Clippers. Boston and Cleveland are flagship teams. And if he's feeling at all slighted by the way things went last season, there's no better I-told-you-so than winning with another team.
If he does retire, rather than play elsewhere, it will be an amazing epilogue to his time as a Spur. It's possible, considering the kind of person he is and always has been. But I'd take the cash.
Bruce has shown it's never all about the money. So I don't see him playing just for money.
Finley he isn't.
But i wonder if Bruces' generosity would make him want to play one more year for a non Poppy team and give most of his salary to his foundation?
From what PeterBurns said, 5% chance.
If Bruce does not re-sign with the Spurs, I think he'd make a great analyst.
I guess he didn't say the team. Are we allowed to guess?![]()
Celtics are ing s team. They will add all the players in the world.....and keep on adding...i heard they just sign baby davis. How bout Daniels...
i thnk FO will wait till dec to see how hariston, haslip, marcus develop, and then bring back/give up on Bruce ...
Looks like you'll be winning some money, those are his only two options. LOL![]()
lol stupid.
just wondering, Bowen when asked if Duncan deserves a DPOY his answer was "yeah, but I should win it first"
Bowen finished second in voting to Ben Wallace multiple times i believe
and his perimeter defense is underrated
the Pacers basically follow the old Spurs defensive strategy and theyre by far the best defensive team in the nba
put Bruce/George on other teams top perimter guy and funnel all defenders into Duncan/Hibbert
the other perimeter guys can stick to their man closer since they got an elite perimter defender if they get blown by which allows them to keep teams to low 3 point %
Guess he just decided to retire![]()
