Plot was actually pretty good. It's an origin story, so a lot of flashbacks are involved, as some have said, and I personally like that. They're also (most likely) setting up for a sequel, so I can forgive a few of the plot holes.
It really threw me for a loop that one of the main bad guys was the guy from Dr. Who. I just couldn't get over that.
The movie was a million times better then the previews made it look.
No the plot didn't make any sense, but at least it was well edited and kept moving so I didn't have that much time to think about it.
It's nto the worst movie ever. That distinction belongs to "lady in the water".
Iagree...I liked it a lot. Very fast paced and it didn't seem that long because the action was pretty cool.

I could had dealt with the college scenes, but that new sidekick that was tagging along with them, along with his stupid mother ruined that movie for me.
I never thought a movie could be as bad as speed racer, but GI Joe is right there. Also saying a movie is better then Transformers 2 doesn't make it a "good" movie, i don't know why people are so into making that statement. Both movies sucked, period.

Transformers 2 action was just better. Both got ty stories with dumb, useless .
It felt more like a Halo movie (armored suits, vehicles, weapons) than a GI Joe movie. Duke was so effing miscast. That role called for someone older and distinguished, not some hot head kid right out of the academy. Cool action and effects though...

IMO this is the sci fi movies rank of the year:
GIJOE > Star Trek > Terminator 4 > Transformers 2 > Wolverine

i've only watched Star Trek on that list and i liked it. Now i have high expectation for GI Joe.
There is no way that this movie is better than Star Trek. , this movie isn't as good as Transformers 2. This movie makes Transformers 2 look like an Oscar winner. The movie was that bad. When I was watching this movie, I was asking myself "did the people that made this movie even watch the cartoon series or play with the toys". Because this movie had very little to do with the cartoon series or toys in my opinion. Why were Duke and Baroness a thing? Cobra Commander did not even look like he did in the cartoon. I liked Transformers 2 eventhough the acting was a little ty and the story was kinda weak but this movie has to be the worst movie of the year. Rachel Nichols and Sienna Miller wearing tight clothes which showed off their chests and butts could not save this movie. And not even Dennis Quaid was able to save this movie. Star Trek is the best movie of the year. Well, it might be in a tie for first place with Moon in my opinion. And can someone teach Channing Tatum to not talk like a wigger in a movie? Every movie that I've seen him in, he talks like a wigger.
At the end of the movie, I thought of Butthead's quote "this sucks more than anything that has ever sucked before". That quote applied to this movie.
yeah, the movie really sucked. terrible acting. it was worse than any movie(other than a home movie) that i've ever seen as far as acting goes.
plus, GI JOE was supposed to the AMERICAN HEROES!!! not some international task force. fuuuuuck that.
Its kinda hard when thats what you really are. I think he is a half breed. Ughh I hate when movies go completely off track from the cartoons, or comics. I might still check it out if I get bored Monday.
I can't believe anyone would see this and be surprised that it sucked. Didn't you see the previews? It's like drinking a pineapple and dog smoothie and complaining about the taste.
There are dozens of other options for movies, and even more options for spending $10 to entertain yourself. You don't have to see the big movie that opens every week. But they keep putting out this crap because you keep giving them your money.

seriously i had low expectations for this movie, and the only really bad actor was tatum, everyone else had decent roles.
