spurs probably werent likeing what they heard from teams for bonner and finley so they ended up signing bogans and probably just setting for 2nd round picks or cash, which i would take to get our young guys in the rotation

Pop won't be able to give minutes to 5 SG/SF (Manu, RJ, Mason, Finley and Bogans).

Manu, RJ, Mason and Bogans is a damn good and well balanced rotation at SG/SF. I wouldn't be surprised to see Finley being dumped to another team.

Y'see I am the world's leading analyst and therapist, or as I like to say 'Anal-rapist'. You wouldn't believe how much trouble I get over my business cards.
You can zing your arrow through my buttocks any time.

And I won't just lie there, if that's what your thinking...

I don't think we can rule out Hill getting some minutes at the 2. There were times last year that Pop went with Hill and Parker on the court at the same time.
and there will be many match ups with other teams, when Hill will be the best option on defense to slow the other teams 2. (thinking about players like Terry, Mayo, Fernandez, Ellis, Barbosa, etc.) Bogans won't help much against these players.
the other very interesting backcourt option might be Hill alongside Manu, but with Manu as the primary ball handler.
if Hill shows nice improvement, he will likely play more than 20MPG and maybe half of the minutes he will play off guard.
(which makes the wing rotation even more overcrowded)

That's what I was saying, and then some putz told me to 'stop posting'. Outside of having limited staff at the backup 1, I was looking forward to seeing if George could play some minutes at the 2. Kid can slash.
There's plenty of room to slash at the point. see: tony parker

the only way i see hill playing 2 guard next season it is when he's alongside tony for defensive matchups

    bogans is beasting this year
    spurs stuck with jefferson
He's not exactly beasting but Bogans has been dependable the last 2-3 months. Never thought I would say that after watching him clank every open jumper that came his way the first 2 months. At least he's no longer a wasted possession when he shoots and his defense has been solid.

And he couldnt in do that for us. He was so useless around this time last year.

4.4 points, 1.8 rebounds is beasting? I hate to break it to you, but he hasn't exactly put any distance between himself and Roger Mason stat-wise.

don't put Bogans and Mason in the same sentence, as a low price player with small role Bogans is a positive for a team, even if stats don't show this he doe's others things to help the team win, he's tough and play hard, Mason is just garbage - the worst player in the NBA!

Or even himself as a Spur -- practically identical stats for both seasons.
