There is alot more to it than what was reported. Earlier in the week, it was reported in the Chronicle that a couple of players who remain nameless, but other people say it was Demeco, Amobi, and Mario who after Finnegan went to the Texans sidelines talkin , they escorted him to the bench and started whoopin his ass, in which he left without a huge chunk of hair

I'm sure Karma will pay him in the form of a good knee injury, or broken collarbone. Or something of the like

It's strange how this thread keeps moving to the top of the forum when no one has posted in it since yesterday. Maybe its a good omen.

    Texans pick up Pollard

Former Chiefs safety fills Pitts’ spot on roster

Bernard Pollard, a safety who started every game for Texans secondary coach David Gibbs at Kansas City last season, has been signed to take the roster spot of Chester Pitts, who was placed on injured reserve after season-ending knee surgery.
Pollard, 24, was Kansas City’s second-round pick in 2006 and last season made 84 solo tackles. He was cut by the Chiefs this season.
“I got a better chance to win here,” Pollard said. “Like I just told the guys, this is insane. To see these guys go out here and practice like this, they’re going to bring in a lot of wins this season. I want to do so much to contribute to this team and help them win. It’s going to be a fun, fun opportunity. I’m excited. I can’t wait for the first game.”
Whether he’ll get there remains to be seen. Coach Gary Kubiak said Pollard was brought in only because of the roster vacancy and “would be evaluated over the next two days. Then we’ll see where we’re at with him.”
Pollard (6-1, 224 pounds)received lots of attention last season when he hit Tom Brady in the first game of the season, causing the New England Patriots quarterback to be lost for the season with a knee injury. That’s a subject he’s tired of talking about.
“It’s done,” he said. “It’s over with.”

I hope this does something for this secondary. At worst we got a terrible cover safety that won't get on the field much. At best we got a terrible cover safety that hits hard and can help stuff the run.

What a ty way to lose the game. The refs ed them on the penalty that took away the game tying touchdown and that should've held on to the ball in the endzone.

Actually, it shouldn't even have had to come to that if the D didn't suck so much ass.

Actually the linebackers and line played pretty well.

Let's face it. Our secondary is . I don't know if it's coaching or if these players just suck balls. When they are not letting receivers run around wide open they are epically failing at playing the run and tackling...as seen in Jones-Drew's 61 yard TD run. It really sucks to see the offense work so hard to put up points and then they get to go to the sideline and watch Garrard hooking up with receivers like it's 7 on 7. The playoffs are a pipe dream if something doesn't change in our secondary.

No suprises here. I knew the jags would roll them.

And how can you blame the secondary on the run D. That's the job of the linebackers and Dline.

There is absolutely ZERO talent at safety. The only thing remotely close to a player in that secondary is Dunta and he is above average at best. The D-line didn't get any pressure on Gerrard and at this rate they are going to give up 3000 yards rushing for the season.

The offense actually had a nice game with the exception of the first Schaub INT and the Chris Brown fumble that should have never happened. I don't see any fixing that defense and if the offense doesn't score at least 40 a game they are ed.

The LBs and Dline had a decent game against the rush. As soon as a player gets into the second level it's over. The safeties are there to prevent big runs and that's exactly what they aren't doing. But I do agree that the LBs and Dline are primarily responsible for stopping the run.

I saw alot of the game, and the LBs look out of place on alot of run plays. The coaches need to get on them for that because ur right, that secondary is not going to stop anyone. That's on the players, not the coaching.

I know one thing, if you play FF, always start an opposing teams RB against the texans, lol

Pretty quite this morning fellas. Its funny you know, Im not use to coming on here in the NFL forum and not reading you guys flap your gums and overrate your team.

Come on now. Lets here the excuses!

Excuses like, "Well our secondary blows and couldn't stop the run."

Yes, they do blow, but your D-Line and LBs are the main ingrediants in stopping the running game. Your favorites like Mario Williams, Amobi, DeMaco and Cushing, you know, the guys you all overrate, are the ones that blew and couldn't stop the run.

Hope you all caught the Colts game, to witness how a REAL team wins ball games.

    lol texans
