Dirk averages what, 9 rebounds a game for his career? He's averaged a 25/11 in the playoffs for his career.

Dirk is great; not as great as Duncan, I'll give you that at their peak or for their careers, but to say Dirk isn't great is absurd. But I'm arguing with a 121-63 fan, so no surprises there. You're just spewing the ignorance you're supposed to spew.
lol hey we have yet another Maverick fan inflating Dirk's numbers! NO son Dirk is not at 9 rebounds per game over his career. he is at 8. lol gotta love this rounding up bull the mavs fans try to pull.

    Dirk's career numbers ... 22/8/ and LMAO 472% shooting.

If your definition of "great" is a top 2-3 PF of all time then no Dirk is not great.

But if your definition of great is a top 5-10 PF of all time, which Dirk is, then yes greatness

Also, best PF in the ing league right now. 4x all-NBA, 9x all star, (should be) 1x champion.

    Oh the greatness!
LMAO the comedy!!!! son Dirk isn't even near being a top 10 PF of all time and deep down you know it too.

lol at Dirk's efficiency and rebounding being put into question

When you get to the line a lot and make over 90%, when you shoot 48% from the field, when you shoot a lot of 3's and make around 40% (not the case anymore with Dirk, but it was a huge part of his offensive arsenal in the past), when you hardly ever turn it over, that's efficiency.

As for his rebounding, 8.5 isn't something to sneeze at considering his perimeter oriented game... he is a very good defensive rebounder but subpar on the offensive glass due to his style. Also, dude's averaging 11 rebounds per game in the playoffs. GTFO with dat .

    lol 121-63
Who argued his efficiency wasn't good. Its just not one of the greates of all time as you claimed. He's not in the top 250 for shooting % or rebounding for a PF. Yes you can back peddle and say he shoots froom the perimeter but hes not even in the top 250 all time there either.

He's good.... I have no issues with that. Claiming he's one of the greatest of all time (offensive eff) is just wrong anyway you cut it.

son just to name a few ...

    Past:
    Elvin Hayes
    Charles Barkley
    Karl Malone
    Chris Webber
    Kevin McHale
    Bob Pet
    Present:
    Tim Duncan
    Kevin Garnett
    Pau Gasol
    Chris Bosh
    Elton Brand

son that is just 11 players off the top of my head ... I'd even take Rodman over Dirk in his prime.
    at the bolded.

You never get to be taken seriously ever again, not that you were to begin wtih. The most egregious example is Chris Bosh. Dirk is miles better than him.

    he is at 8.

Dolph Schayes > Dirk? Sorry, but if you put Dirk in a time machine and sent him back to the fifties, he'd put up a 50/25. And if you brought Schayes to 2009, he couldn't play for a NCAA Division 1 team.

I guess Bob Cousy > Chris Paul. After all, he won more.

LOL son at you highlighting like 6-7 of those players! ... it truly is hilarious, but so damn pathetic at the same time how much your own homerism has blinded you to reality. honest question though son and seriously answer it honestly ... is the fact that Dirk is white have anything to do with why you hug his nuts and hype him up so much? I have said it over and over, yes Dirk is a damn good player, but my God lol ... one of the best ever? LMAO

Look ... I understand we can argue over maybe 1 or 2 of those guys I listed, but you are truly a complete moron if you think Dirk is better than all of those guys you highlighted. are you ing serious??? Bosh is a toss up right now, but I am willing to guarantee you that 5 years down the road when Bosh has as many years under his belt as Dirk that his numbers will blow Dirk's out the water.

You seriously just said Dave DeBusschere (career average of 16 PPG) is better than Dirk?
You are too young to know. He made his name with defense. He is listed on a lot of top 10 PF lists. Here are a few comments.

Nicknamed “Big D” for defense, DeBusschere was a hard-nosed, tenacious forward – one of the game’s all-time best defenders. He was named to the NBA All-Defensive First Team in each of the award’s first six years of existence. DeBusschere was average in size at 6’6” and 225 lbs., but he possessed a work ethic that was second to none. During his 12-year NBA career he represented the epitome of the blue-collar basketball star

Debusschere was one of the first great power forwards in the NBA. He had career averages of 16.1 points, 11 rebounds, and three assists. He also shot 43.2 percent from the field and 69.9 percent from the free-throw line. He was selected to eight All Star teams in his 12-year career.

He was also selected to one All-NBA team as a member of the second team. However, he was one of his era's best defensive players, as he was selected to six All-NBA Defensive teams, with all of the selections on the first team. Finally, he helped the Knicks win two championships in the 1970s.

son yet none of that matter because he is a proven choke artist in the playoffs ... now I will say that Dirk is EASILY in the top 10 greatest NBA choke artist of all time. EASILY in the top 10, maybe even top 5.

no son we are just being realistic ... its funny on this message board how its ALWAYS only the Mavericks fans who will NEVER admit anything wrong with their team. you guys are always full of BULL excuses and just downright ignorant mindsets about your team.

Fans of other teams like the Spurs, Lakers, Suns, Hornets, etc. are always criticizing and being realistic about their teams (for the most part). son why is it always the sissy Maverick fans who are blinded to reality by their homerism?

son if Paul stays healthy he will be one of the greatest, if not the greatest PG to ever play ... he will easily be in the top 2-3 for sure. son 10 years from now unlike Dirk, we won't have to twist Paul's stats around, round up his stats to make them look better, etc. to prove that.

Putting up inflated stats on a bad team doesn't put you in the top 2-3.
