I don't hate the teams. I very much dislike their fans. Laker fans have quite possibly the most ignorant bandwagon pieces of crap on the planet. You'd think that having success for that many years would be the reason, but not even the Celtics, who have won more have this many. I guess not winning anything for 2 decades will fix the bandwagon problem.

I started hating the Mavs a lot in 2006..it wasn't necessarily that they beat us, because we could have avoided Manu's foul..it was the disgusting officiating..I hate Cuban(like everybody else), Jason Terry, Josh Howard..I hate Dirk's yelling and anger when he's on fire, because he's ridiculously ugly, especially his blond facial hair..I hate how JJ Barea's head is twice the size of his body..Jason Kidd beats women..
the Mavs are just different though, because you never actually believe they're going to win anything..when we're eliminated from the playoffs, I cheer for any team to beat the Lakers..I don't care about the Mavs, because I know they aren't going to win..when the Mavs choke against an 8th seed, I'm not surprised..
the Lakers are just disgusting..they get special treatment from the NBA, they take part in collusion when their franchise player is crying and threatens to leave, their fans are the worst in any sport..Kobe's a rapist/snitch/pos in general, but always gets different treatment from the media, because he needs it..Artest beats women and goes Vick on innocent animals..Lamar Kardashian is a media that enjoys fat gold diggers, he's an embarrassment to NY..Pau Gasol is a racist..Magic Johnson is a dirty adulterer that has HIV and is a coach-killer..

the Mavs players like Dirk/Terry/Howard are annoying, but they don't seem like bad guys..Kobe and Artest are proven to be bad guys, and Gasol being a racist is ignorant as too..
the Mavs are a team I love to hate..the Lakers are a team I just hate, and they represent everything wrong in sports and society in general..

I actually don't mind the Mavs, and in the few rare occasions where DAL or HOU advances further than us, I tend to root for them. I really wanted Houston to upset the Lakers last year in Game 7. That would of been so awesome.

Mavs. I like Kobe Bryant. He's a winner; can't hate. Don't really like anyone the Mavs have to offer. Whatever little like I have for Dirk, is overshadowed by Mark Cuban, Jason Terry, Stackhosue. etc.
I think what pisses me off most, is that the Mavs were built to beat the Spurs and only the Spurs apparently. Haven't won anything else to at least make me say: "Oh well at least they were the better team because they did win the championship."

Lakers by a long shot. I don't care too much for the Mavs because they are like every other NBA team without a Championship-- lots of talk and show boating but no hardware.
Lakers are our true rivalry, and both our teams have won Championships, so I think the hate runs deep.
What are you toasting for? The Spurs haven't beaten the Mavericks in the playoffs since you've been a spur fan.
One things is for sure. I'd prefer any Texas team over the Fakeshow.

Seriously, how can you hate a fan of a sports team? Unless they blatantly did harm to your family or someone close to you, it seems kind've juvenilish to harbor such resentment. Hate (and here's the cliche) is a very powerful word. I just don't see how there is enough time in the world to say, "hey, him he's a Lakers' fan...so let me hate them."
Let's play the game, though.
Anyhow, I dislike a lot of Laker fans because of their idiotic behavior (see: the ones who fought with the Celtic fan in '08 and those who decide it is a fine form of celebration to burn and deface property) and the ones who come out of the woodworks to pledge their allegiance to the team.
But, overall I have had nothing but good experiences whenever I come across the sparse Dallas fans in SoCal, so I would say I have question with more of my favorite team fans than I do anyone else's.
Though the one time I almost got into a fight after losing the '08 finals made me dislike the Celtics fans because, well, throwing a bottle at my friends and I is pathetic to say the least.
Now, I don't hate ALL Boston Celtics fans because of that one incident, but I don't care for the guy who decided it was worth it to celebrate a championship by putting one's health/well-being at risk simply because sports team he supported just won a championship.
what does dallas hate more? the fact that were the only team in texas who got through the lakers in the playoffs? were the only texas team that is undefeated in the finals? or maybe because were the only texas team who has a chance this year? just pick one guy, yes this is a very lazy city i agree with you, but i'de rather have a heavy happy friend than have snobby fake friend with skin cancer!
I hate Kobe and the hype he gets from the media and the treatment he gets from the officials. Lakers fans are by and large a low class loud mouthed bunch. I loved the showtime Lakers of the 80s though. Mavs fans are es plain and simple. Little punk es. I like the Rockets, OKC, New Jersey, 76ers, and PHX.
