I do agree camping is more of an issue than the last game but with all FPS games, its part of it. I myself camp from time to time depending on game type. Team deathmatch is an ultra campfest especially hardcore team death. I really hope they give us hardcore headqtrs back. Heartbeat monitor makes it more of a campfest but I personally love it.

I suppose the camping will be less of an issue in time. On the handful of maps I'm starting to feel pretty familiar with, it isn't as much a problem any more. I do think a lot of the maps are designed in a way that encourages camping; all sorts of nooks and crannies and dead ends to hide in.

But yeah, campers, for me anyway, will be much less of a hassle once I know exactly where they are and how to get back at them.

It just sucks not knowing the maps and having to check literally every single corner lest some camper pop out of it. And it sucks not being able to get revenge afterwards.

too bad all those pc guys swore they'd boycott it
While I am sure the hack was performed on a retail version, dont think the PC market is going to buy in wholesale.

If the hackers truly have figured out a way to have dedicated servers, I would think PC gamers will just steal this game en masse.

Yeah i know what you mean especially in hardcore. In game types like HQ or Domination its less of an issue.

so 90% of the copies would be stolen and burned as opposed to 50%?

Look, youre making up stats and its pathetic.

An online game like CoD4, nearly every player had paid for the game. Sales were through the roof on PC because thats where the game started. So, if youre going to make up bull stats, I'll make one up to...

10% of players online stole their copy. Thats it. Tops.

See? I have no proof. I could look it up, but all I am going to get is industry estimates and even they dont claim 50% (they dont even claim 30%, fyi).

But yeah, IW pissed the entire PC community off so now you have people who paid for every installment of CoD since the first one who will readily torrent this abortion to play on dedicated servers.

IW estimated 50% of COD4 on PC were cracked games

Never is quite bold. I feel advanced consoles will eventually replace PC's as our preferred devices concerning all multimedia (except portable) and especially gaming, due to advanced peripherals (virtual reality anyone?) required simply to play. The evolution of the Wii. However, I think consoles at that point will resemble PCs of today in many ways, so it could be a moot point.

This would be a good point if it's the way the trends have gone thus far. Consoles are becoming more like computers, not the other way around. Computers aren't being stripped down to bare essentials to run a game more cheaply. Consoles are becoming more elaborate and supporting computer-based activities right out of the box. Even now, the Ps3 is basically a heartbeat away from being a full fledged computer. It has plug-n-play USB ports, a separate, replaceable hard drive, a built-in web browser, etc.

Too true. Youre right, I should make a caveat...

That experience as of now cannot be recreated on consoles.

Two things i noticed my second playthrough I didn't notice the first time
    spoilers ahead

when you take back the white house and launch the flares, there's green smoke everywhere showing the whole city was taken back. Second, when you save Price from the gulag Soap gives him the handgun back from the end of the COD4.

You do it on Vet? That 's SO much easier than cod 4. I guess that's a good thing; no more barrages of grenades and insane respawns, but , I think I did it in like 7 hours or so.

the lack of infinite respawns and the addition of grenade physics deinitely made it easier

    Crazy knife throw wins game.

This is why all console games should support youtube uploads. Say after the match it would ask you if you would like to save the match to the hard drive and later you can edit and upload it from the PS3/Xbox.

Only 2 games do this that I know of, Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars and the upcoming Peggle and Peggle nights for the PS3

All games should have this feature

The PC version being gutted is pretty re ed, but not as re ed as the $60 price point for the game. Spec-ops is great. Campaign experience is great, story not-as-great. Multiplayer maps seem to be camp-fests.

Good rental, good piracy candidate. No point in paying $60 for the PC version unless you hate value. Plus there's a ton of pirated MW2 releases with hacked LAN support.

@ asking $60.00 for 17 gigabytes of digital data.

Overall, its worth a play for the campaign and spec ops missions. Brings nothing new to multiplayer and is a downgrade for the PC. The maps have a lot of potential, but there is just too much open camping sniper fire. MW1 had a good mix of close-quarters fighting in the maps that these lack.

I refuse to buy the game on the price point alone. The $5 rental pretty much got me through all the new material anyways.

I've had some great knife throw kills of my own and tried to figure out how to hook my 360 into a capture card to record some of my gameplay. I had a lucky knife throw on the terminal similar to that video but it's only gotta be imprinted in about 9 or 10 guys memories.

I wish they'd let you save replays of the final kill at the very least to your hd.

I was disappointed and almost angry that they didn't include a theater ala Halo 3. I'd rather have had that than special ops.

Every single multiplayer game, especially these types, should have the option. All their PC version/ports do, I guarantee it.
