I agree that Dirk with Duncan on the spurs would have been nasty. I'm not going to say 5 or 6 championships, but there would a good chance for a couple of them.

Woah, I was going to answer this post, and then it hit me: Switching Duncan for Dirk doesn't just mean the Spurs have Dirk, but the Mavs have Duncan!

A team with Duncan and Dirk would have been sweet. If Dirk and Duncan had been on the same team from 2003-2009, that would have won at least 3 or 4 championships together.

Parker and Ginobili would compliment Dirk's game better than it compliments Duncan's game. Dirk helps spread the court out more than Duncan due to being a long distance threat allowing more room for Parker and Ginobili to operate. Bowen would really help in not forcing Dirk to have to be an internal beast. Yeah the spurs defense wouldn't be as good but their offense chemistry I think would be ideal. They would be more of an uptempo team.
Duncan with the mavs would be quite interesting as well. I think that would be a great fit as well. Duncan covers up some of mavs defensive issues and if they still had Nash would have no problems scoring.
