That is what is making me most nervous (and why I want work to close - though my boss just announced that if it hits 32 - it is 35 right now - she is sending us home) - people here drive crazy in pouring rain and don't know how to drive in snow/winter conditions.
I grew up in Michigan and always loved having a white Christmas, but the last one I got to have was in 1995Now we have to move wherever the AF tells us to go, which so far has been San Antonio and southern California. Zero snow in both places.
You're like the Grinch, Manny - delivering bad news so close to Christmas.
You live in San Antonio?
Didn't you try to brave that weather in a leather jacket, Manny?
I have to admit, I did laugh at that.
A lot.
We had some snow in Ann Arbor last night - didn't stick, but we had a good hour of it. It's supposed to snow in Oklahoma while I'm there next week. Go figure.
Jess made me buy a real coat. I'm using it today as a matter of fact. I probably would have died had I only taken that leather jacket of mine. is perfect for San Antonio, not so much for that bull you call Winter up there.
Des what side of town do you live on? I think its snowing on the south-east side right now. Depending on how bad you want to see it its jut a car ride away![]()
Yes, but the look of sheer shock on your face was pretty priceless.
sucker mother er!!!!! I'm so jealous right now. If we had snow here, I was going to go to the closest golf course to play a round in the snow. A stogie, ed rum and my driver!
Rob
Jekka, I have to ask about your avatar - is that something that you actually saw? In certain parts of MI, that's actually somewhat common. Just go a little further north and it's a moose instead of a bison.
Yeah... I think maybe even to see snow it's not worth going anywhere near the south side![]()
Des, its a picture from her stay in Yellowstone. But to keep in the spirit of the thread I hiked a peak there in June (or maybe May - can't remember - probably the end of May) and I had to wade through 2 feet of snow.
I've seen more snow in the last year than I the rest of my life 10 fold.
Yup, I spent the summer interning at the Yellowstone Research Library, so bison jams were pretty frequent. It took FOREVER for me to see a freaking moose out there, and I was in the UP in late October and didn't see any moose up there either. Apparently I am moose repellent.
Has it hit Floresville?
Katy - maybe. Call your home and find out! The radar is really flaky for these things unless they're heavy because light snow barely shows up.
It's my mom's aerobics hour. No way she's going to answer the phone right now.
Looks like we are stuck in the middle of the dry area.
raining/snowing south east and north west of us...

Friend say they see flurries in Floresville.
Freezing rain? I'm sure that's a pleasure to navigate in TX.
Yeah, spurs_2108, just got off the phone with my mom. Flurries galore in Floresville!
Definetly snowing in places that map doesn't show. Thats the problem with most of the regular radar products.
