Salaries don't match. We don't want Amare. Why the would stingy Sarver give the Spurs cash?

he played excellent D on pierce
That's true, and no one really noticed. He pretty much shut down Pierce, I was quite surprised.

yes this went unnoticed, Pierce didnt do the entire game, even in the end when hes one of the best clutch players in the game, he didnt do ANYTHING.

RJ stopping Pierce last night was phenomenal. Sure, he only had four points but he was covering Boston's most versatile perimeter player all night long. You es need to shut up

Agreed! If the Spurs' goal has been to establish solid defensive play, I suppose RJ now is trying to do what the team and coaches want him to do. That is him being focused on defense. Hopefully, we will see RJ with high ability on both defense and offense soon.

Pop makes things unnecessarily difficult for new guys. This is just a fact. New guys are basically worthless for the entire first year. But there's no excuse for that this year. Manu said it himself - we have to win this year. We're 9-7, so what's so special about what we're doing? Pop's "schemes" are so ingenius that he has us two games above .500 and our payroll is higher than it has ever been.

Just let the guy play his game, Pop. It's obvious that he's out there thinking, not just playing, not just reacting. The guy is super athletic. Have we even run an alley-oop for RJ? I guess that's not in Pop's fabled playbook.

Players win games, and you have the personnel, Pop. So make it happen.

We had 18 turnovers against Boston. If we played as loose as Golden State, there's still no way we amass 18 turnovers. Pop doesn't allow guys to play loose. He's a regimented coach, and guys play scared and hesitently. That's what we saw from Brent Barry until the last year he was aSpur, when he dodn't care. That's what we saw from Finley for his first probably two years. And it's definitely what we're seeing from RJ. Trouble is, we don't have two years to wait. We don't have three months to wait. Right now we're fighting for a playoff spot. Forget a top three seed. A playoff spot, people.

Nice take. McDyess' is having similar problems adjusting to Pop's schemes. I think Pop just needs to let the guys' play during the games and quit micro-managing every possession. Save all that for the day after game tape session.

Totally agree. When a guy like McDyess says both Pop's offensive and defensive schemes are more complicated than anything he's ever seen, it sends up a red flag.

I just feel like we have so much talent on this team that there isn't a great need to overcomplicate matters. I'm not saying we should roll the ball out there and see what happens, but at the same time, we're not plotting a tactical military coup here either. It's freaking basketball, and we have the personnel to win it all this year.

'Splain me this -- how does Pau Gasol join the Lakers in mid-season in 2008 and immediately play like an all-star when the triangle offense is supposedly something that takes years to learn? Gasol didn't look lost out there. But right now we have multiple guys who look lost, and our veteran point guard even looks lost.

One more thing - if our offense is so complicated, why do most possessions come down to Parker dribbling the air out of the ball and somebody having to make something happen in the last five seconds of the shot clock?

unfortunately no gm of the 3 teams would be so dumb as you to get this deal done, or at least Clippers GM is definitely not re ed enough to make it true. I mean for what insane ing reason should the Clippers trade an expiring contract plus a talented youngster for two pieces of ?
while were talking about pieces of , you should change your pic and sig!
