You are probably more than right. No argument on my end.
Just that they were really hyped pre-season for having one of if not the best off season player movements even more so than the Lakers much less the WC.

The purist in me tells me that on paper there are really not a bad squad and should be making a lot more noise than they are.

I never bought that. On paper they don't look good, imo. Gino's done and Dice and Duncan are not too far behind him. I see an aging Tim Duncan trying to man the paint alone. It will get worse before it gets better if no moves are made.

Still early though. If the Spurs are still struggling like this into mid February and don't come out of their Rodeo road trip with some big wins then by all means press the panic button. They still have a solid month and a half to get their act straight.
