    Fans of teams don't normally celebrate the fact their team has no championships. Laker fans probably celebrate the 3 year period of 2000-2002 a lot more than they celebrate the 2005-2007 period.

    It's not mandatory that you support a team in order to be a fan of same. I've been following the Suns religiously since December of '86, and I've been Watcher of the Gate for the purpose of the O & __ since O & 26.

    A "fan" and a "supporter" are synonyms. A "fan" and a "hater" are antonyms. Calling yourself a fan and a supporter would be like calling yourself black and African American. Calling yourself a fan and a hater would be like saying you're a member of the NAACP and the KKK.
