There are four deaf people where I work. Two of them have working Cochlea Implants. The other two don't. I don't know if that is by choice, or if the procedure won't work for their level of defect. I think the implication is that Rush loses the ability for the implant to work.

Me either. I'm not well versed in Hinduism, but in general, I was under the impression that karma is a concept that has bearing on one's next incarnation and social caste in the next life.

I could be wrong, but the western concept of karma (i.e. The cliche: 'what goes around comes around' sentiment) as in it affecting this lifetime, has always seemed beyond silly to me.
