When I was little, I won some potted meat at a Phoenix Roadrunners hockey game

I opened it at home and took a small taste, and hated it. So, I did the seemingly logical thing and put it in our dog's bowl. My grandpa came in and started ranting at me about it saying that it was "too good" to give to the dog.
    That's funny.

Is that the same thing as Deviled Ham? Because I used to like deviled ham. Haven't had it in years & years, though.
Deviled Ham sandwiches at your wedding.

    Ingredients by brand.......................

    * Armour Star: Mechanically separated chicken, beef tripe, partially defatted cooked beef fatty tissue, beef hearts, water, partially defatted cooked pork fatty tissue, salt, and less than 2 percent: mus , natural flavorings, dried garlic, dextrose, sodium erythorbate, and sodium nitrite.

    * Hormel: Beef tripe, mechanically separated chicken, beef hearts, partially defatted cooked beef fatty tissue, meat broth, vinegar, salt, flavoring, sugar, and sodium nitrite.

    * Libby's: Mechanically separated chicken, pork skin, partially defatted cooked pork fatty tissue, partially defatted cooked beef fatty tissue, vinegar, less than 2% of: salt, es, sugar, flavorings, sodium erythorbate and sodium nitrate.

Highly processed "meat" is only the low-hanging fruit of the food industry and meat factories.

Nearly everything from BigFood is total, dead crap, actually food-like substances, of no nutritional value and very often harmful.

are you talking about this? WHY? WHY would you eat it? Even if I was starving i
    think i would rather die.....
I've honestly never heard of potted meat...SPAM would be the closest thing I guess...

Seriously though? Is that a joke? I mean, I'm not disgusted by foods, I've eaten escargot and I'm Mexican so I eat menudo and barbacoa and lengua and all that and it doesn't bother me...but I don't think I'd ever want to try that stuff

    It looks absolutely disgusting...

I'm in college now and its Ramen FTW...

Pft, humans are just picky. Animals have no problem eating every last bit. Entrails, bone, skin, diseased or dead. We refuse to eat most of the stuff we kill since we are "cultured". It ends up in cat food cans or in this potted meat stuff.

This food is pretty much all-natural. It smells much better than it looks. Don't stare at it, just mash it up and spoon it onto a cracker or something. Its like how you shouldn't smell cheese.

By the way don't get curious and try to eat dog food or cat food unless you like the taste of raw organs and ground-up bones. At least that potted stuff is actually mostly meat.

Man. Potted meat reminds me of my grandparents and when I was a little kid. We'd always go on road trips pretty much everywhere in Texas. We'd always pull over at a rest stop and have potted meat sandwiches. Very good times. Now I don't know if I'd eat it now, mind you.
Word. Yeah, that stuff reminds me of my grandparents too but with devil's ham and crackers. I don't think I've ever had potted meat. Sounds gross.

"This food is pretty much all-natural"

ing no. Canned meat is highly processed, stuffed full of preservatives, chemicals, salt, flavor/color enhancers, without even mentioning the fed to the animals the meat came from.

Totally incomparable with carnivores eating muscles and organs from wild animals.
