So because all those players say Kobe is a ballhog they should be in the hall of shame? There's no shame in that, the only shame I can see in this whole post is the name Kobe Bryant who allegedly raped a girl.
I love the last comment by Jerry West...
Raja Bell – On Clotheslining Kobe
"My problem with Kobe isn't that he doesn't respect me," Bell said. "I felt he was disrespecting me, and that he didn't care that he was doing it. I don't need respect, but you're not going to disrespect me.
There was hate mail and death threats, and they came fast and furious shortly after the clothesline-heard-around-L.A.
"I don't think I'm in any danger," Bell said. "NBA security is investigating and they made sure everything was safe for when I came back."
"I ran into another Lakers fan at our hotel," Bell said. "He was yelling that this was Kobe's town, shooting sets at me. Gang signs and such."
Stephen Jackson on hating in general:
"Basically, to beat a dead horse, Kobe was just playing dirty," Jackson said. "He was getting favoritism out there. I'm not saying the refs were cheating. I'm not saying that at all. I think he was getting away with stuff that I couldn't get away with. And I didn't think it was fair.
"I'm not going to bow down," Jackson said. "I'm not a fan of Kobe. I'm not somebody who looks up to him. I'm a grown man myself.
“It ain't envy. I ain't jealous of anybody.” – Stephen Jackson
Snaq O’neal –
Aside from his almost daily playa hating comments over the years Shaq declined to comment on Kobe’s 81 points.
Dwyane Wade –
For Calling Kobe The Other Guy at Snaq’s request
Wince Carter – on Kobe’s 81 points:
"It is great for the league, for him, just because of the buzz it has created. The only bad thing about it is younger kids, whose minds are easily warped, are going to think, 'Ohhh! I am going to go out there and do it' instead of the team concept first. That is what is missing, guys understanding how to play as a team. They [the NBA] want scoring, they want ratings, you are going to get that. You are definitely going to get them now with the amount of 50-60-point games . . . I just hope kids and young guys understand that.”
Ray Allen :
"He feels like he needs to show the league and the people in this country that he is better without Shaq, that he can win without Shaq," Allen said. "That he can still average 30 points and he can still carry the load on this team.
"He has the talent. But is his at ude going to sometimes allow him to take the backseat and let Lamat Odom shine.”
"I think he talks because he feels like he has to talk," Allen said. "He's out there playing, and if he does something good he feels like he needs to pat himself on the back. Because to me it seems like he is isolated out there. As much as it's five-on-five, I don't see much camaraderie going on out there with his teammates."
"Don't even put me and that dude in the same breath," Kobe barked.
During a dead ball, Kobe walked over to Allen and sneered, "I'll see you again." Bryant then said "talking all that ."
Paul Pierece – On being better than Kobe:
“I don't think Kobe is the best player. I'm the best player. There's a line that separates having confidence and being conceited. I don't cross that line.”
Mark Cuban:
“I hope the NBA adjusts its TV schedule so we all can see him play more. It would be fun to watch and fun to debate how far a one-man show can drag four other players in a team sport."
Dirk Nowitski - (on if he could get 81):
"I don't think that would be good from a team standpoint."
Keith Van Horn (when he played for the Mavs):
"How many assists?. He didn't have any against us."
Jerry West:
"It's so senseless to me to say he shouldn't take over like that. You give the same amount of shots to everybody else and they're not making that many, I know it. Players are jealous of greatness. Kobe is a unique talent and a unique person. His belief that he can jump to the moon is never going to change. But I admire him, what he's been able to overcome. You would think he would be a fair-haired man of the NBA with what's he's already done. But he's taken a fairly good battering."

This post only shows that Kobe is thought of as a ballhog to the rest of the league. Really good way to prove a point.
sons like I have said in many other post ... Kobe is not well liked around the NBA. sure many players and coaches will say the politically correct things on camera most of the time, but just ask around. If you know anyone who has ever worked within the NBA they will tell you the truth. everyone knows the guy is so overrated and pushed to the top by the media and NBA that its not even funny. the amount of help he receives from the officials is downright embarrassing and disrespectful to the game of basketball. ANY of those players mentioned above could easily put up Kobe's numbers (and many could put up better) if only they were given the green light to jack up 22+ shots every game. sons it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out why Kobe averages 25 points per game, its just basic mathematics. if you shoot the ball a ridiculous amount of times then I would hope to God you could put up those numbers.

"If Kobe doesn't see he needs 2 good players to be a legitimate playoff contender or win a championship in about a year or two, he'll be calling out to (Lakers owner) Jerry Buss that, 'We need some help in here," or, 'Trade me.' And we'll all be saying, 'I told you so,' when he says that." - Raystradamus Allen in '04
So the only guy defending him is the one who traded for him.
Dirk Nowitski - (on if he could get 81):
"I don't think that would be good from a team standpoint."
How is that worthy of being in the hall of shame? If anything that makes me respect him more for being a decent man.
Fail troll is fail.

So much for the official Kobe thread. Once again the NBA board has been derailed into the Kobe board.
Keith Van Horn (when he played for the Mavs):
"How many assists?. He didn't have any against us."![]()
good one.
a 1 man show dragging 4 other players with him. never heard it like that.
I agree with most of what's been said, but I will say this about Kobe and his 81 point game...
The Lakers were getting hammered at home by a pathetic Raptors team. Kobe scored when needed in the first half, but it was obvious to anyone that watched that game that his teammates weren't gonne get it done. In order for the Lakers to win that game Kobe needed to score on almost every trip down the court. The Lakers defense was horrible, so Kobe had to take over to make up for it.
Now, towards the end of the game when he was pulling a Teen Wolf on his teammates and basically stealing the ball from them to pad his scoring...that was a little messed up, but to get to that point Kobe had to take over on the offensive end.
Ray is like the 4th or 5th best player on a terrible Celtics team. This cat's claim to fame will always be his ty acting in a ty basketball movie with Denzel.
It must kill Ray inside every day after realizing Kobe has more talent in his fractured index finger than Allen ever had in his prime.
lol some Laker fans told other fans to stop making threads about Kobe, but then they start a thread disguise as a Kobe thread.
My favorite Jerry West comment.

Okay....
How this doesn't go in the Kobe all the time thread?
LOL it's not a coincidence that most people dislike Kobe..he's just an unlikable POS..
BTW, Al-Quobe is really creepy..when Kobe raped Faber, they were making death threats and calling her house..I had no idea they did the same to Raja Bell when he clotheslined Kobe..that's just ridiculous, what the is wrong with these idiots?..
