How about if the Cavs get Amare we lend the Lakers TD. Imagine Shaq seeing both Kobe and Tim get number 5 before him at the same time .

I actually rather have Cavs get Jamison or stay the way they are. For some reason I dont think Shaq and Amare will play good together.

as a laker fan...i am TERRIFIED of jamison ending up in cleveland

    amare? meh...no big deal

but jamison is a perfect fit next to Bron...Amare still hasn't decided to play defense...and I doubt it will change in a matter of a few games in cleveland....

Who cares about Shaq? He's 38 and done, and probably gone at the end of the season. Cleveland doesn't have enough talent around LeBron to pass up that kind of opportunity, even if it isn't the slam dunk someone like Bosh would have been had they kept their capspace instead.

And you think Jamison plays defense? If he can even lift his arm up without a shoulder falling off and tumbling around on the floor its considered a good defensive possession.

Yep, thats Antawn Jamison, the defensive dynamo who specializes in running upcourt as soon as his man looks at the basket.

I don't mind the Cavs at all, they're a likable team..

Lebron is like the anti-Kobe when it comes to everything personality-wise
are you kidding me? LeBron has been a since his team lost to Orlando last year. And he's resorting to dancing on the bench during the game. He's an attention .

Likeable team? LeBron? Mo? Shaq? Boobie? Andy?

    Amare >>>>>>>> Jamison

Amare is a beast, I was just seeing some Spurs vs Suns games from the '05 playoffs and I'm still amazed at what Stoudamire did that series (30+ points on every single game against Tim Duncan), not only that, the different ways of getting it done was just as remarcable: off the P&R, on the post, in transition, jumpers, 80% FT shooter, etc.

And regarding the defensive aspect: Stoudamire is an absolute freak of nature, he has the physical ability to be a great defender and I think that beign on defensive minded team would help him to develop that side of his game.

Amare + Lebron = team to beat for at least the next 5 years IMO

A lot of morons don't get it... This is not the suns run by nash, this is the Cavs who run boring halfcourt sets involving LBJ dribbling around until he finds a seem or someone leaves a teammate wide open. I hope it doesn't happen, but of all the crappy trade scenarious brought forth, I like this on the best. Of course I'd rather keep Amare.

Now instead of LBJ and and bunch of scrubs he now has a star who isn't 900 years old to defer to at times.

This trade sucks so I'm sure Kerr can pull it off. Thanks to cheapness, they have 0 chance of getting equal value for amare.

I like Hickson and think Nash can utilize him, but in the future, I'm not sure how it'll work with dragic.

Also, suns aren't making the playoffs this year if it goes through.

You make a solid point, but I'll never underestimate that jackass' ego.

And, odds are, he'll find some ridiculous 5th gear once the playoffs roll around, complete w/ a few power dunks and atleast 1 dive for a loose ball into the crowd, and EVERYone will talk about Shaq as some kinda X-factor, even though he had no real part in getting them there during the season, much less sustaining them throughout the POs...

...and then I'll ing shoot myself.
When its all said and done and Shaq retires, he will be regarded as one of the most dominant big man to ever play the game with 5 rings. No one is going to care that he was on a stacked team when he won his 5th ring. He may not be a #1 or #2 option but hey neither was Wilt Chamberlain in his '72 season or Kareem Abduljabbar in his '88 season both whom won a ring that year and still got the credit they deserve.

Root for the Lakers? Never. LBJ hasn't forced anyone to have sex with him yet, except maybe David Stern, so therefore i would rather cheer for him
Not with their bandwagon hitching ass fanbase...never. Good deal for Cleveland IF it goes through, but couldn't they get more for Amare than J.J. Hickson?

In reality teams should be trying to block the outta this deal. If they get Amare, Lebron definantly won't be leaving Cleveland anytime soon.

So basically Phoenix wants JJ Hickson and a first round pick for Amare. For some reason I'm not entirely comfortable with Amare being a positive impact for Cleveland.

Imagine if Lebron still leaves. All would break loose. Like when Baron Davis went to the clippers and Elton Brand bolts, just on an epic scale.

Hope not. Perhaps his logic is the the cavs without LBJ as the worst case is still as good as the Suns after nash leaves. Also the east is still soft 5-8 where you have to almost be elite to even make the playoffs in the west.

Great move by the Cavs if they can land this deal. They need to do everything they can to win a championship now and an all-star big man is a step in the right direction. If they don't get Amar'e then James is just that much closer to leaving Cleveland.

He'd be the best secondary option Lebron James has ever balled with in Cleveland and presents match up nightmares. Now if you double the Cavs you're even more screwed than ever - Amar'e's got a midrange shot as deadly as they come and one of the best scorers in the paint to boot.

Barring any injury, this is the Cavs year. Hickson was having a great year but Amar'e's impact will be on a whole other level and if the Cavs manage to resign Z also...well damn thats a lot of size on one team!

In fact I see Cavs vs Mavs now in the Finals - LA needs to improve on their weaknesses mainly their depth since their advantages will be nowhere near as huge as they once were.

Just because it didn't work in Phoenix with Amare & Shaq doesn't mean it won't work in Cleveland.

Nash is not LeBron James, James is the best basketball player on the planet.

If this happens what it does is if the Cavs/Lakers meet in the NBA finals it gives Cleveland plenty of upside to win a 7 game series against LA and it may help keep LeBron in Cleveland, especially if he wins his first NBA le there.

If the Suns are crazy enough to sign off on that trade (though Amare would probably be pushing for it), Cleveland would be foolish to not do it, and they may even get Big Z back, which would really spell trouble for the Lakers, Magic and Celtics.

Shaq. He's shown nothing but disrespect to the Spurs, from Robinson not signing his autograph (bull , David signed for me many many times when I asked him respectfully), to the WNBA comment on Letterman, to all the he's talked about Duncan and how he's gonna get that fifth ring before him, and so on. Kobe's been nothing but respectful to the Spurs and their fans, so I'd much rather see him get #5 than that fat .
are you kidding me? LeBron has been a since his team lost to Orlando last year. And he's resorting to dancing on the bench during the game. He's an attention .
All of these. I'm not a Laker fan, but I would rather see Kobe winning his 5th than Shaq. Concerning LeBron: He's probably the best basketball player on the planet, but I can't stand his antics prior and during the game and this ty dance act. The fact of having Shaq on his team makes it way easier for me not to root for the Cavs.

Hickson and CAP relief isn't enough. The Suns need Cleveland to include their 1st-rounder from this year, and, since we are doing them a HUGE favor by releasing Ilguaskus so he can resign, A future 1st should be included as well.

It's similar to the Gasol deal. Cap relief Brown/Ilguaskus, prospect Gasol/Hickson, multiple late 1sts.

That's the returning package that even comes close to this atrocity. Without the additional 1sts, they may as well just hand him over.
