They're designing a Spurs uniform as we speak that is actually just a suit.
why couldnt we trade finley for salary dump and get a cash for him..did we even get like a 2nd pick or something?
They're designing a Spurs uniform as we speak that is actually just a suit.
What has happened since January 10th that validates this assumption?
Considering season is over, why the spurs would give PT to Ian ? If he plays well a lot of teams are going to offer "big" money, he is FA next year right ?
Point taken... I'm still won't believe he's actually a part of the rotation this season, until I see it... I'm not saying it won't happen (would love for it to happen), but with Pop's love for small-ball, I don't think it's guaranteed.
From Rotoworld.com:
Theo Ratliff: Ratliff heading to Spurs

Ian better play tomorrow night![]()
Fin, as usual.
Ratliff barely played. Mahinmi steps in now. I doubt he gets much playing time unless we lose a big man to injury.
Doubtfull, but we shall see.
He will be in uniform for the rest of the season thats for sure.
have to love getting a twitter update that says Spurs trade Ratliff to the Bobcats, but there is no "for so and so" to the Spurs
I'd rather have Hairston in uniform.
so mahinmi will now get ratliff's mintes? he will get all zero of his minutes. that's not a big improvement over the zero minutes he's been getting.
Probably Mahinmi.
Then I guess its not different than Theo being here.
No real change has been made, so we should expect any change in wins/losses either![]()
In the past they've had to give up 2nd round picks and the like to get these days done (Melvin Ely). I wonder if they did that again this year.
No email from the front office on this peeps.........
And the Charlotte Observer isn't saying anything about this either yet.....
But we're only an hour and 26 minutes past the deadline...
He'll probably get "late" garbage time minutes. You know, 4th quarter, 30 secs left in a blowout. Just enough time to showcase his skills.
all this means is that Hairston gets called up and added to the active roster.

Great.... so much for the saving him for the play-offs theory ala Rockets and Mutombo. WTF is Pop thinking??? Anyone close to 7' that isn't named Tim Duncan has no business being on this team. No let's go sign us a another 6' 8" Center!
Seriously... WHAT IS YOUR DEAL?![]()
I think I've heard Ian might have a chance to get some pt before: after Bonner broke his hand, Spurs cutting Haislip. As much as I would like to see giving Ian a shot in the rotation it's probably not going to happen
Works for me.
The change is theres another roster spot and Mahinmi now has to dress every single game.
...or get fouled out in the process..
