Than don't cry when you hear some Mav-biased takes.

Plus the Ticket has been saying Mavs in 7 and giving the Spurs a lot of credit. Most of them anyway.
Funny how your dumb ass confused asking a question with crying. Guess as a mav fan you're so used to crying you just assume everyone does it all the time.

I've been listening the last couple days to hear the crazy stuff going out there, and all I'm hearing is a bunch of people trying to convince themselves that the mavs will win - a sign of pure insecurity . One host this morning was going on and on about how the Spurs were the 3 seed and the mavs 6 last year but mav won, and this year mav is 2 and Spurs are 7 so that means mav got better while Spurs got worse so mav should win easily. WTF is up with these people ? Why so insecure and worried ?

Wouldnt you be insecure if you were a fan of that ty team?
I've been a Cubs fan for 25 years. I know all about rooting for a team that doesn't win . I also don't act like a re whenever they play a division rival or make the playoffs. So, no, I wouldn't be insecure if I was a fan of that ty team. I'm a fan of another ty team and I'm not insecure about it.

Dallas fans, on the other hand, might be a whole different group of nozzles.

As a Spur fan living in Dallas, I can say that the Ticket is about as partial as you'll get, though they are big Mav fans, as would be expected by any local radio station.

I won't go so far as to say Mav fans don't know anything about basketball. They've had a very successful team in many ways, they just haven't had what it takes to win a le.

I also feel a little for them because they get so hyped by a team that performs pretty well in the regular season, only to have things go south every year in the playoffs. Dallas has had a sports jinx for since the early 90s and people here are desperate for Dirk to win them a le. He's got about a two year window to do that before he starts his decline and they drift into mediocrity.

All I've heard today is "How will the Mavs match up with the Lakers in the western finals?"

I mean on 105.3 they are already breaking down the western Finals.

    Its hilarious honestly.

They are scared because we have a bear in a man suit playing power forward off the bench and he's hungry.
yea Mavs are scared less of Dejuan Blair. Dallas might as well forfeit. They have no chance in this series when the Spurs have the phenom on their squad.

Spurs fans, if the Mavs winning this series is so ludicrous to you, then why not find a bookie or fly to Vegas and put your money where your mouth is? You could probably get really good odds.

btw, is Blair a 6'6 "center" when he's on the court with Duncan?...considering Duncan demands on being called a "power forward" and hates being called a "center" for some reason

Both teams are pretty damn good, and anyone can win. I have more fear of the Spurs not handling their business than I do of the Mavs, but I expect many Mavs fans are aware of recent history and feel similar about their team.

Scared? No. However, most intelligent Mavs fans are not blatant homers. There is a healthy respect for the Spurs organization and everyone is well aware of what SA is capable of (Note: Capable doesn't translate into what they "will do"). Should be a great match-up and an entertaining series. Just anxious for it to get started already.

Beg to disagree. Met plenty of intelligent individuals that are "homers" when it comes to "his/her" team.
