Maybe they technically belong to the Los Angeles Lakers, but bragging about stuff that happened in another city that the LA Lakers bought is the epitome of lame.
Those wins belong to the Minneapolis Lakers, who no longer exist. They do not belong to the Los Angeles Lakers.

Nantucket spurs won 5 rings back in the ABA

Lakerfan insecurity is funny and sad at the same time. Of course, when you have a legitimate argument against them, they scream "jealousy" at the top of their lungs from the rooftops. They might not have anything else going on in their lives, but don't you dare talk about their beloved s in purple and gold, it might be all they have to hold on to
Dont be a jealous. You got a one too. My a father, Luigi, him a builder. He travel to America many a times to build a buildings a there. He a go there in a early a 19a90s. He come back with many a dollars and a newspapers. Papa say: "Giuseppe, you come, you a welcome a papa back to a Torino. I a show you, bambino this a newspaper I a buy in a america when I build t a slum in a Western a Phoenix, near a Maryjaneville." I look at newspaper. Big a parade picutre down a mainstreet. Papa says: "Phoenix basketbalateam win a big Championship. They have a celebration. Oh, bambino, america it is a so a special. Even when you a lose, you a win!"
Oh, that a papa. I love a my a papa. Him a good a papa.
I guess you don't remember the 08 finals? Because I could have sworn the same thing happened to L.A....Boston bullied you z too![]()

They belong to the lakers sure. But only LA lakers... no.
Congrats to the Minneapolis/LA Lakers.![]()
denial
The only history that matters is Los Angeles Laker history. I congratulate them on that. Anything prior to that is irrelevant--That's like going to an Enron company picnic this summer![]()
You get a lucky. Fork stuck in a Manu fall out and get a stuck in a Duncan.
calm down man.
But really... you don't actually think your case will persuade anyone right? You won't be anymore successful than any other person trying to convince you that all thebelong to LA
We try and win 16 now so we'll have 16 a then. I hope a Mavs do a dookie on a your Fat Antonios. Oh, that a Lakaluva, he a funny, funny man. He a my favorite a Lakers paisan.

I checked NBA.com site and found this: http://store.nba.com/product/index.j...421546.2098413
Just admit it. You know the Lakers have 15 les and are scared they are getting close to Boston's 17.
Woah! My response to you was made because you said Boston was going to steal whatever good players we had in our city. Favre and Brady are all time greats in American Football. I think it's safe to say you are a Euro-trash bandwagon fan that just jumped on the Celtics parade recently. What's even more hysterical is Boston claims one win over the Minneapolis Lakers in their 9-2 finals edge. Acknowledging that result from 1959 is an admission everything the Lakers have won in either city counts in their franchise total.
Ignorance. There is a precedence for this. Let's throw out the fact the NBA says all 15 les belong to the Los Angeles Lakers franchise. When they moved to Los Angeles, all their players came with them. Plus, Jerry West, their #1 draft pick. The 5 les came along as well.
Now, let's look at teams that no longer exist, the ABA is a good spot for this. here's their last season:
http://www.basketball-reference.com/.../ABA_1976.html
5 teams went on to the NBA, 2 folded early, and the other 3 folded at the end of the season and didn't join the NBA. There was a dispersal draft for those latter 3 teams held among all NBA teams. If the Minneapolis Lakers ceased to exist, their players should have been spread around the league along with the move, right?
This is an interesting point. How about a 20 year old Yankee fan. Can he brag about the 22 World Series les New York won before he was born? It makes sense to say he can't if your logic is followed. All I know is my T-Wolves and the state of Minnesota don't claim the early Lakers les. The argument seems to be a recent one, created by nervous Celtics fans as the Lakers draw closer. It should have been addressed when the Lakers moved 50 years ago, not now. That's the only team that should care. I have no clue why a Cavs or Suns fan, who's teams have 0 les combined, should care.
Ask, me if I care. My team has no les and may never get one. My point in arguing here was to expose mogrovejo as a little .
You're comparing apples to oranges. Do you know any Kings fans who talks about the Rochester Royals 1951 NBA le?
No it really doesn't, he's not talking about les won in another city. He's a fan of the Yankees because they're in New York, and he's talking about les won in New York.
And all I know that people in Seattle still claim the 1979 le as their own, for that matter Thunderfan doesn't walk around and say, "1 RING, GOT!"
I don't care, I find it amusing. The fact they think they were an integral part of the Lakers being a good team is funny enough, them thinking that buying 5 championships from Minnesota is something to be proud of is even funnier. It's the equivalent of someone buying Michael Phelps' 8 gold medals and then bragging about them like whoever bought them won them.
I don't mind reading long posts but I don't read long trolling posts. You want to troll, make your points in a short and concise way, unless you're that Indian guy, John Hollinger or that kind of troll.
It seems you Lakers fans are in a very small minority in regards to the point under discussion in this thread though.
