Didn't he cost them a playoff game with a non-call? Only takes one if the Spurs can't put the game away on their own.
I don't mind Joey... he's a good ref when he keeps his personal emotions in check...
Getting Salvator out of the way early was nice.
Mavs complain a lot about Danny Crawford... but I think pretty much the sole reason that they don't do well with his ref crew is because he doesn't fall for all the dirk flail shenanigans on the jumpshots and dirk won't adjust and go to the basket...

You better not laugh, I'm telling you why.
Mr. Magoo is coming to town.
lol i love byron scott's reaction..
What's the story between JCrawford and Duncan? I remember the "You want to fight" incident--which was one of the more bizarre incidents in the NBA, but I never understood why JCrawford seemingly doesn't like Duncan so much. Can someone explain?
The playoffs against the Lakers in 2008, I believe the Spurs would have evened up the series 2-2; down by 2 in the final seconds, Derek Fischer lands on Brent Barry... no call. The NBA later said a foul should have been called. The ref who was standing 10 feet away and should have called the foul? Joey Crawford.
Crawford should never be allowed to ref a Spurs game ever again after all the crap that he's been involved in with us, if for no other reason than to avoid the appearance of impropriety.
I think I read a recap that Joey Crawford was at a game today so that reduces the likelyhood...
But he was suppose to save you from that task master Avery.
Put Bennett, and Joey all on one crew for all I ing care.
Spurs arent going to lose due to the refs anyway if they do lose. Just like they wont win due to the refs in spite of what Mav fans might want to spew. Then again Maverick fans arent known for their basketball a en.
Yeah guaranteed no Joey for game 4.
Officials: #17 Joe Crawford, #73 Ed Malloy, #40 Leon Wood
Thats the officials for Orlando V Charlotte today.
Portland V Phoenix was this
Officials: #32 Eddie F. Rush, #54 Derrick Collins, #10 Ron Garretson
Milwaukee V Atlanta
Officials: #13 Monty McCutchen, #25 Tony Brothers, #19 James Capers
LA OKC
Officials: #14 Joe DeRosa, #33 Sean Corbin, #38 Michael Smith
Im wondering who that leaves for game 4....
kill yourself, got. Every Spur fan alive was ing about the FT disparity after Game 1.
If thats true I pray for McCutchen and and DeRosa for 5 and possible 6.
BTW, if true its Foster, would love to know his tendencies. I barely recognize him, from what I remember he's decent.
Yep... and you remember how all the Laker trolls kept insisting that it wasn't a foul, and that it wouldn't have made any difference? Then the league made one of its rare statements saying that it was a blown call. The difference between 3-1 and 2-2 is night and day.
The thing that made that call so bad was that the two players were basically isolated on the court, and were the obvious center of attention. Crawford either willfully decided to abort the rules, or he showed criminally piss-poor judgment. Either way, it should have reduced his value as a playoff official. To about zero.
interesting.
I'm gonna try to compile my ref stats but from my last count, the names the Spurs needed to worry about were Eddie F. Rush, Bennett Salvatore, and Jack Nies. I think we are barely .500 when one of these three refs are on the floor.
Our playoff winning pct. with the Crawfords, , and Javie is pretty damn good. I think it's close to .650 or so. I will try to compile numbers to backup my statement.
our playoff winning pct. is like .670 since pop

tHERE WILL BE SOME LATE CALL AND CONTROVERSY
Some interesting stats from the NBAStuffer.com site:
1. Among all officials who've refereed at least 10 regular season games, Scott Foster has the highest number of called fouls per game at 43.8. In his 3 playoff games, this number has gone up to 50.3.
Conclusion: Expect a lot of whistles in this game.
2. During the regular season, Scott Foster officiated games saw the home team get whistled for 48.6 % of all fouls. In the playoffs, this number is now 51%.
Conclusion: No home cooking, especially in the post season where the road team has got the better deal so far
3. During the regular season, Scott Foster games saw an average point differential of +2.9 points for the home team. In 3 playoff games, this number is +3.3. As a comparison, Bavetta has a differential of +1.
Conclusion: Nothing noteworthy, it doesn't look like he wants to keep the scores close.
