The Spurs seem to have at least one game each playoffs, even when they win the championship, where they just play like absolute and lose by 20+...

I can see, due to a mul ude of factors, this being that game.

i'm predicting a Spurs blowout 2nite. Don't forget that Tim & TP had a not so good game 4. And Manu also IMO. The Spurs are notorious for showing up & sucking the life out of the arena. So as long as we control the pace of the game, control the game/noise factor, not allow Dallas to get in rythm....take good timeouts......then bye bye Mavs. Yo Ass Is Grass.

Dirk at least SOUNDED like he wanted to swallow a bullet during his last press conference. Let's hope his play reflects that.

    I doubt it will, though.

Well...If we don't win Game 5, then we will officially be the most gutless team in the NBA...Game 5 is for pride IMO...
    I would have to agree

I'm gonna predict the spurs take it. Spurs have a reputation for winning close-out games, AND mavs have a reputation for losing 4 straight, or to a much lower seed, both of which we qualify for. Mavs are beginning to be what utah has been for a while, a great regular season team, but cant seem to get it going in the POs.

Not all the big 3 will do poorly tonight.
Hill wont get 29, but his confidence is much higher than games 1 and 2.
    Jefferson is finally being consistent.

Will refs give mavs another +20 in foul disparity? I really dont think so. We have been good about not fouling in last 3 games. We'll let dirk shoot all he wants.

Thats really it. The only way the mavs can win this game is on disproportionate fouls, or many TOs (credit their D when this happens) by us, which is possible of course. There's always the possibility that they do what they haven't done yet, and that's to have someone other than dirk or terry show up.

    gotta disagree...

spurs will be super-focused and will close out the series with a convincing win (another one)...to give themselves time to rest/heal

dallas will try to put up a brave front---but when the spurs fight back and make their run---the mavs will call it a season
If and when the Spurs go up by 10 or more, look for Dirk to come up with some phantom injury to save face.

I kind of find it funny. Weren't Spurs the higher seed last year and Mavs were the lower seed last year and this year same teams yet switch seeding.

The game will also be on Fox sports Southwest. I think NBA tv is something like 6.99 a month which is not bad.

It's not like there's another option.

So, for all their faults, their flaws and poor execution, they still have the talent to pull out of this series (but don't ask me about the coaching. that's another story). I think Dirk does his thing, Butler pulls his head out of his ass for one game, Marion gets the burn he deserves in the second half, we see less of Barea and Terry together (ugh), Dampier scores a basket, Stevenson gets the chance to check a guard and we finally see what Roddy B can do in meaningful playing time. s. What's the worst that can happen? it. Rick has to have the sense to play ever bullet in the chamber. If not, Mike Bacsik will Tweet about killing him.

The Spurs' Big 3 won't all collectively have a bad game again. Duncan will get his, but I'm looking at another down game for Manu while his schnoz continues to bother him. Hill comes back down to Earth, as does Blair. Jefferson offers discount rimjobs in the locker room after the game. You know, the usual.

On pride alone, the Mavs win 101-91.

Betting line opened at -4, saw -4.5 this afternoon and it's now sitting at -5.

Beyond Game 5? Beats the out of me. I never know with this team anymore.
Is this a guarantee mavs win thread?

Unfortunately, once you unleash The Grizz, it's hard to get him back in his cage.....at least we hope so, lol. He and Hill have gotten better as the series has progressed, which is a good sign moving forward.

Oh skank even if they do it's only a matter of time before we take em out. If we put up any fight tonight dallas will crumble we weather the storm to start the game and to start the 2nd half and we'll get it done.
