Well Dallas Tex-Mex does beat that Taco Cabana they serve down in San Antonio. Maybe our basketball team is inferior to the Spurs, but I'll be gotdamned if anybody says we don't do Mexican food better. Since I'm the Man About Town, let me give you the low down on where to go in Dallas:

I have already instructed my trusty butler Warburton to prepare a feast of El Monterey Frozen Mexican Food tv dinners and to break out the authentic White China imported from Mexico. Arrangements have been made with the proprietor of The Spearmint Rhino to fetch some ladies for our private party. I'm also pleased to announce Reginald VelJohnson will be making a special guest appearance as Emcee of the festivities.

??? The Mexican food in Dallas SUCKS ASS. It's bland as and not really that good. I moved there for about 3 years and HATED IT. I really hated the multi colored tortilla chips. I thought that was weird as ...like they had to e up the look of their chips instead of just selling the taste of their food.

I can walk into a rat hole restaurant here in Houston and it would taste better than their best Mexican restaurant.

But onto these "fattest cities" in America lists they come out with ever year. What the rest of the country needs to realize is that in the Texas heat, we can sweat out a burrito before lunch time.

No, I got tired of looking for a great Mexican restaurant. I'm sure they have some that are outstanding (I ran across a couple that were OK), but you have to know about them. In Houston you just walk into a Mexican restaurant and the food is outstanding.

On another note, have you ever gone up north and ate some Mexican food....I about threw up. The gets worse the further north you go (which makes sense). I don't understand why somebody down here doesn't move up north and open up a chain of real Mexican food or even Tex-Mex. They would make a killing.

Our Mexican food is to us-what their Chicago style pizza is to them, after living up north and eating that pizza (they have mom and pop pizza places..not dominoes and pizza hut crap) I haven't been able to order another delivery pizza. They put our to shame in the pizza department. I miss that , that pizza was like 2 inches thick of homecooked goodness.
