LA in 6.
hhmm. Gasol is better than Amare and Kobe is better than Nash. In a star driven league that's a big deal.
I expect the Lakers frontline to have a big series and the Phoenix 3 ball to be neutralized/contained whereas against the Spurs they shot 44.5%. I don't expect 5 rebound ecstasy to imprint this series like he's suppose to, and will be outplayed by Gasol. Phoenix does not have a player capable of guarding Kobe. Nash should have a good series but will he get enough helP??
As well as the SUns have played, I honestly see the Lakers winning in 5 games.
Unless he'd good to go right now and can start practicing immediately, I'll say no. BTW did jarron even play tonight? I missed the first quarter. That boy sucks.
Yeah, he played his obligatory six minutes and played like garbage.
Theres a WEEK off before the WCF, so maybe Lopez can make it back.
Gasol won't be able to guard to Amare. Neither can Bynum. Odom won't be able since he has to stay on the perimeter and defend Frye. Also, Fisher or Farmar are no match Nash/Dragic and Hill, Dudley, and Richardson are better than any other Lakers wing except Kobe. Suns have an advantage against the Lakers defense.
The problem with the Suns will be defending the Lakers, especially Gasol. Amare may be able to slow them down, but it won't be easy. I don't think Bynum will be a factor this series. He's injured and the Lakers will use Odom alot more. Kobe will get his regardless, but the Suns need to make him work for it.
Hill/Dudley better than Artest?
Louisiana
Of course they are. Artest is garbage.
Besides your from Ohio.![]()
Frye will expose the Lakers bigs with his outside shot. Bynum hasn't done in the playoffs from what I've seen. He looks a step slow. Suns should be able to run against the Lakers. Jazz are a step slower than the suns. They don't have as good of spacing with their bigs not being able to hit outside. Just not as good of an offense as the suns have and I actually think Suns play better defense than the Jazz. Grant Hill's defense on Kobe could be huge imo.
Suns are longer than the Jazz as well. Jazz are going with two guys who are 6'7 in their frontcourt.
LOL ..."hope springs eternal" ...
NBA forum juumping on the latest "this team has what it takes to give the Lakers problems" bandwagon
Both have in the past and Bynum has done especially well.
Nash/Dragic is of course a huge advantage for Phx, but we'll see about how the wings shake out. Artest/Kobe are as good a 2/3 combo defending wings as there is in the league.Odom won't be able since he has to stay on the perimeter and defend Frye. Also, Fisher or Farmar are no match Nash/Dragic and Hill, Dudley, and Richardson are better than any other Lakers wing except Kobe. Suns have an advantage against the Lakers defense.
Bynum will be a factor in this series. The Suns are historically a great matchup for him.The problem with the Suns will be defending the Lakers, especially Gasol. Amare may be able to slow them down, but it won't be easy. I don't think Bynum will be a factor this series. He's injured and the Lakers will use Odom alot more. Kobe will get his regardless, but the Suns need to make him work for it.
Will be quite a series, an elite offense vs. and elite defense.
Should we expect a lot of Laker fans in Phoenix?..
Bynum should be dominating against the Jazz since they have two midgets (to put it nicely) in the frontcourt. He did well in Game 2. Question will be how much will he and Gasol be on the floor together. I don't think Bynum can guard Amare on the p-n-r with a bum knee. Plus, how often will the Lakers go to him on offense if he's on the floor with Gasol and Kobe.
I still have doubts about the Suns winning in LA. If Lopez was healthy, maybe, but still would be an uphill battle.
I can't believe Artest is 260 lbs. That's huge.
Yes. They're everywhere. Just like Yankees fans, Cowboy fans, Duke fans, etc.
Yeah, all the Mexicants who live in Phoenix have been putting a little bit of their welfare checks in savings all season in the event of a Suns vs. Lakers series. You can expect to see plenty of people at the game who smell like tacos wearing a "15 rings, got" shirt they bought when they heard the Lakers were in the playoffs and playing the Suns.
Mavs have a big lineup as well. It didn't help at all because they couldn't get back against the spurs a lot of the time and their offense was stagnant. The suns will probably double the post anyways so it will be up to how well Artest hits those 3's. It seems the suns are a little sharper when it comes to scramble defense after a double team than the Jazz.

No just a developed Bynum and Gasol. Kobe's not too bad either.
Honestly, the Lakers have alot of role players surrounding 4 excellent players, three who are All-Stars (Bynum is better than Kaman). Kobe, Gasol, Bynum, and an underrated Odom make the Lakers elite. The rest of the guys are good at their roles, but not as good as in years past. That's why Gasol and Kobe are gonna have to carry the load more than usual. Still betting on them getting to the Finals.
The Lakers have certainly built a very nice team around Pau, no doubt about that..
