I agree. By the time they met the Suns they were spent. I had the Spurs winning that series but fuel was the culprit here. Not taking anything from the Suns. They played fantastic but 2 dynamics were at work here; You had a Spurs team that wanted revenge on a team that took em out a year prior and laid it all on the line with them and you had a Suns team who has no beef with the Blazers hence not a passionate series but laid it all on the line with the Spurs. The Suns, through scheduling in my opionion, had more energy to spend on the one foe that always gave them a headache....The Spurs.

Rofl DoK....you're better than this.
Most are quoting the three point shooting. Thanks for playing anyway.
I grew up in SA and my math is just fine....I will admit, I suck at Calculus, but I can handle 4 > 0.
3pt% is an important stat and shouldn't be overlooked.
But even if PHO shot 46% against the lakers as they did vs the spurs they would have added 5 extra 3's (15 pts). And still get beat 128-122.
The biggest story of game 1 IMO was how David Stern's new point man Scott Foster and crew cut Grant Hill's heart out and fed it to the alligators.. no way does Kobe shoot over 50% if Hill is allowed to play defense out there, he would have been lucky to hit 35%.
Game 2 tonight we'll see a new crew chief and things may be just a tad different out there this time.
Does it matter what they shot? The Suns ing swept them.
So who you gonna take in next year's lottery what with Amare gone?
Great smack talk, talking about something that hasn't happened yet.
Look at the little Suns fan, all grown up. Seriously, you finally win one series after so many years and tries, and they get a bit too y.this myth about hot shooting Spurfan is using to make excuses for losing isn't one of them
A Suns fan can never complain about being a sore loser, which is a complete hypocresy.
And Suns won cause their role players clicked at the right time,
and the Spurs role players never did.
The Suns gave it all out to beat big Brother. They just wanted to beat the Spurs and that's it.
I mean, how can you not get up to play the 4 time NBA champions San Antonio Spurs?
I guess San Antonio public schools don't teach you how to spell hypocrisy either.
I understand that after so many years, now the Suns fans can actually be proud of something. I really do hope the Suns win it all, cause...
- I don't want Artest to win a ring,
- KG is an ass,
- My gf is a Orlando fan and likes to brag.
But if the Suns don't win it all again, expect some serious backlash on the forum, lol.
Let's face it, though. It's like like the Suns have a great chance to win it all. They are simply not constructed to win. Their players, aside of Nash, don't have that hunger. And Amare still doesn't want to train his defense skills. I applaud Gentry's effort and herculean task to put some defense mindset on the team, though.
Yeah, in other words, the Suns were a better team. In 2007 when the Spurs role players did what they were supposed to and Phoenix's role players (outside of Kurt Thomas) curled up in a ball and did nothing, the Spurs were a better team and they won. Idk what's so hard about the "the better team won" concept.
Sorry, english is my 3rd/4th language. And if we are being touchy, it's "San Antonio's", right? What's your excuse?
Oh, and I don't live in SA, btw. But you would do well to cool down a little, as you are in a Spurs forum. This forum rocks, cause had I been on a Suns forum, and said: "Arizona is a known nazi bunker" I'd expect to be banned almost inmediately.

You are new to the "winning" notion, so you are excused: I never said Suns were an undeserving team. The team that wins is the best team.
Of course, what matters is to win it all, but Suns still have a chance to go that far, and I hope they do.
Now, because the Suns won, you can finally admit it, of course.
Yeah, LA is a better team than Phoenix, so naturally Phoenix isn't getting the easy looks against LA they got against SA. I wasn't expecting Phoenix to beat LA, the only point of this thread was to point out how re ed it is to think Phoenix had some fluke shooting performance against SA.
I have as many rings as you do, so no newer to it than you are.
I only have one ring, my marriage ring. So you are a Suns player that has won an NBA championship (too lazy to check if any, but just in case: "I hate you!"),
or you are a stereotypical rap singer (of you could be a woman, they do use a lot more rings that us).
lol bandwagoner
Oh, then that means you live in Phoenix, the new Berlin.
If not, you are also not a "true" fan.
If that's how it is, fair enough. I was banned from a PHX forum cause I said the Suns are simply not hungry enough (back a few years ago, mind you).
This forum is generous on letting someone diss their team's home city. Kudos to you.![]()
all i know is, Frye and Dudley were absolutely on fire from 3-land in their first 2 series, especially against the spurs these 2 guys hit virtually ALL their 3-pointers.
they got basically the same looks against LA and went 1-9 or something like that.
Who is arguing that the better team lost?
I read the comments about how Phoenix had a lucky shooting streak as basically saying the Spurs were better and Phoenix just happened to shoot extremely well against them.
