Are you kidding? Cage is so lame.... If the movie sucked, there'd be at least the bright spot of him dying.
Like in MK2 he fortunatelly died in the begining.
Lamer than Kurtis Stryker? It would take the power of a million Zabkas to reach Kurtis Stryker levels of lame.

Well actually I'm not really sure, I personally just really don't like him.
    What is a Zabka?

Was there a good fighting video game movie other than this really? Well DoA had hot chicks. Didn't like Street Fighter much. And couldn't even finish watching SF: Legend Of Chun Li. I mean Kristin Kreuk narrating??? Are you kidding me? It was like listening someone tell an erotic story, without the erotic story. She'd fit better in a porno or something.

    Hmm... Any other movies?
Mortal Kombat is one of the worst fighting games ever produced. MKII was good, but it's still nowhere near many other fighting games. It appealed to teen kids with a thirst for blood, and gore was thought of as "cool" in a video game. It was a novelty, and little else.

Virtua Fighter 4/5 is still the best fighting game in history, IMO. It blows away MK.

Billy Zabka was the actor who set the gold standard for head 80's teen movie villains. He's best known as Johnny Lawrence from the original Karate Kid.

And whether you liked the character of Johnny Cage or not he was the only character who could punch other characters in the balls. It never got old for me.

Uhm, I was talking about movies. I mean is Kristin Kreuk narrating in SF game too or what?

I still loved MK game though. It was probably my favourite game on Gameboy.

where I can find this movie?
It's not a movie, it was a TV show. Mortal Kombat: Conquest

You can find them here. Episodes 2 and 21 seem to be missing though.

On another note, I can't find Tekken to download anywhere. Torrents get to 10% and then the DL speed drops to almost zero. Damn it.

Then why are there reviews about it on imdb?
The first guy even says he saw it in a theatre.

Although then there's another guy who can't find it anywhere and seems to think people only are commenting on the trailer.

In some places it says it was released in the US in 2009, in others in April 2010, while in Japan in March 2010. Some strange this is.

Virtua Fighter is button mashing proof. Those games are way more advanced than Mortal Kombat.

I did play Mortal Kombat when I was young. I did play Mortal Kombat with other people. Mortal Kombat is badly outdated. It did rely on gimmicks over gameplay.
Gimmicks or no, MK was a good game for its time. Any game from back then is outdated by definition. People did not play it back then for game play or even because it was a fighting game.

MK and its sequels were played because of the fatalities and the blood and gore. That's the reason everyone thought it was cool. It was always about the fatalities, so you're missing the point. That's why MKII came out with two fatalities, babalities, and friendship. That's why subsequent fighting games like Killer Instinct and Primal Rage had their own version of fatalities.

You may be right about what you say but its irrelevant to MK being a good game. Had you actively played or watched these games at an arcade at the time, you would know this.
