Spurs are paying Tiago Splitter nearly $10 million over three years out of mid-level exception. Does that leave enough $ to lure Raja Bell?

This is Yahoo now, I believe them.

This makes me think Bonners contract is a 4 year 8 million deal. Thats a very fair deal for a player like Bonner.
Of course, thatīs why i am not hating on bonner, those here thinking bonner will earn any more than what he already earned is nuts.
I donīt think the Spursd are stupid enought to pay more than 2 million a year for Bonner.

Kind of funny that while awesome if true, there is not really anyone left at SF that is that appealing imo.

Posted it seconds before you . I don't think Yahoo are stupid enough to believe Monroe or McDonald without verifying, so I think it's true. Wow simply amazing.

Didn't Tiago have to come up with something like $1.2 mill to buy out his current contract? If so he (and McD is correct) is basically working for the LLE this year ...
spurs can give 500k for that

Buyout $1.76 million (according to Monroe), Spurs pay $500K, Splitter pays the rest.

I guess Spurs have played hardball with Splitter : "You ed us 2 years ago by staying in Spain. There is no way we will reward you with a big fat contract."

don harris news at 6:00 said "6 million" dollars will make you rethink changing number

in reference to 22 insted of 21.

h,mm so don is saying 6 million not 5.8 MLE or 10 mill either..

i think don might just be guessing since he has no sources of his own

Bell or not, if this report is true, then Tiago is really doing the Spurs a favor and giving them some much needed flexibility this summer. I think it was pretty much assumed that he would demand the full MLE or most of it. This definitely makes the FA outlook more interesting.

True. 'We'll sit on your rights otherwise.'

After 3 years they'd have full Bird Rights for him. And anyways, he should have some $ saved up...

Bruno, do you see anyone interesting left for the Spurs to go after that would actually help and/or take the perceived money the Spurs have left?

It seems the market overpaid and stole any good deals/players.

maybe 10 mill is what counts for the cap

i read you can have incentives that are likely versus not likely..

maybe if we win 50 games he gets a bonus of more or less money?
