George Bush became Pope? Man I have been out of touch.
I see darrins is still obssesed with liberals
George Bush became Pope? Man I have been out of touch.
What I think is really amazing is that DarrinS saw the picture and immediately assumed the artist was a liberal.
Most certainly not anything conservatives stand for.
Maybe he's a NAZI? After all, Hitler's socialist party was similar to USA liberals today before he went crazy with his stage 3 syphilis.
Many conservatives are for assassinations.
Most conservatives aren't for assassinations/mock executions? I thought that was a fundamental plank of the conservative party by this point. Considering it was mentioned upthread that the author also used other subjects such as Ahmadinejad in similar situations, I doubt you could reflexively call him "liberal".
Sure, assassinations and the death penalty, but it goes beyond that when a man is no longer in power. It could be said to be inciting violence.
Could you imagine the uproar if the same was done with Obama, Pelosi, etc?
bet the lib s here would cry over that, and cheer if it was Palin.
He's just authoritarian and of a religion the liberals accept more than Christianity, or at least it seems.
Either way, he is someone with a dark nature that goes beyond civility, and I would say the same as anyone who likes his work.
How do you know he's an authoritarian? Maybe by getting these images out in the open, he's forcing people to actually look at mock executions, which (if you recall) our government performed on suspected terrorists. Notice that no one is actually dead in any of the paintings; just being threatened. In fact, he could very well be making a statement AGAINST these types of practices.
From a link using his own words:

Why would a lover of authoritarianism depict himself killing world leaders? Does that make any sense? And how do you know what religion he is? Did you just make a wild guess?"Because they kill so many other people, it would be a favour to kill them, understand? Why don't people in power and in the elite die?" he said.
Very true! I assumed he was liberal by the lack of drawings containing the anal rape of bald eagles and 9/11 symbols.
So you're saying we can blame WW2 on Hitler's stage 3 syphilis?
No one would cry over Pelosi or Palin drawings, maybe the artist could get really creative and do it double-pistol style. Also, notice a difference among any of the drawings? Ahmadinejad has a knife to his throat. What do you think that's supposed to mean? Plain clothes man vs the leaders that watch the world burn...it's not political, it's a meditation of "what if" the same violence befalls the people sheilded from the consequences of the violence produced by the countries they represent. You've gotta be pretty bone-headed to want to turn it into a liberal/conservative issue.
this thread, get it outta my sight.![]()
No, but I would say such a statement has far more credibility from what we normally hear in the media.
Still waiting to ask why WC thinks paintings involving killing world leaders espouses authoritarianism, and what religion he thinks the painter is.
The painter looks like he would be the life of any party.
I bet the last thing he wanted was for photos of him and his artwork to end up all over the Internet.
Nice work.
I'm thinking he would kill to get his pictures off the net.
Well, the concept isn't libertarian. Far from it. I would say he is authoritarian of some sort for that reason. I cannot give you a specific type of authoritarianism.
Religion? Probably an atheist.
Is that a reflection of your values?
You are for assassinations.
You are authoritarian of some sort for that reason.
Did you take from that question that I value parties and/or the people that attend?
The guy looks like a real downer. I was being sarcastic and apparently extremely lame.
Uh? Hitler borrowed heavily from both the left and right on the ideological front, but in practice it was a extreme-right form of politics.
For example, do you even know what happened to trade unions back then?
Not everything is libertarian/authoritarian. If anything, the pictures would defend a sort of anarchism.
And I love how you just happen to guess he's an atheist because he painted pictures of himself killing people. Way to associate atheism with being evil. Biased much?
