There are great players and great organizations throughout the NBA. There are thousands of players that have come through the ranks and put up considerable and often great "numbers". NBA history is riddled with them. We know these things.. We lived it through the West/Baylor years. I never went away from a season saying it was a great year because West won the scoring le, shooting %, or MVP. They lost and it was painful. The MVP, MVP of the finals, scoring le, or any other trinket the NBA passes out along with these quantifiable stats that are tossed around with such pride are meaningless without the le. Mere icing without the cake.
You can take and manipulate all the cells on the excell sheet however you flippen want. Amoungst those numbers, scattered at all levels, are winners and losers.
We know these things. And they just never get it. Boggles the mind...
and the banner gets prepared...
