Houston is really going to surprise people this season......they have talented players everywhere.

We were basically playing backups tonight and backups much of the 2nd half.

Pat Patterson and Jordan Hill look very promising.....as well as their guards.

Defense was better in the second half... that said, the last quarter was of dubious value seeing that starters on either team didn't really play much at all.

At any rate, the season is upon us. We'll see what we look like next Wednesday.

I like Houston's squad this year. I think they are a playoff team with our without Yao and IMO might even be better off without him this year.

Good luck to you guys this season.

I think it will be Gee that gets cut.. Didn't even see the floor.. Not a good sign.
If the amount of minutes were a sign of a player getting cut, he would have been cut a long time ago.

I'm guessing they know he can ball in this league from what he showed last year with the Wizards and want to see what Simmons has left in his tank. Or maybe I'm wrong, he's probably injured or in Pop's dog house although if either of these scenarios were true, he would have been cut already.

    I just don't understand what's going on.

Not sure who since I can't think of anyone.
If you're referring to spurs fans wanting something in return because of rumors circulating during the summer that Parker would split after this season, then yeah there were a few.

    Look up Amare Stoudemire.

True, but we should know by this weekend, assuming that the roster will at 13 by the time the season starts.

I know most of u hate Bonner, but don't you think we need the guy? He has a good 3 and can hit free through. Also plays around the basket. With Neal and Bonner in our team don't you guys think its helping us? just asking ur thoughts.

I don't want to even think about how great it would be to have Blair hitting that shot consistently.
Think about it, you know you want to. I know I've been thinking about it.

We had a rough start, starting with me, with turnovers. The second quarter we played better and made a run at the end, and the second half we played better defense and made some shots.

DeJuan was great. He did what he does best: rebound, hustle plays, staying in the play. He played great tonight.

The game was just coming to me. I was taking my time and letting the game come to me. Not thinking, just playing. I tend to think too much. I just got to keep rolling.

San Antonio Spurs 111, Houston Rockets 103: The preseason is over
    by Jesse Blanchard
    48 Minutes of

AT&T Center–A little lighter on the roster, and a little lighter on their feet, the San Antonio Spurs ended the preseason with a 111-103 victory over the Houston Rockets literally running full speed ahead into the regular season.

The run and gun Spurs nearly doubled up the Rockets in fast break points, outscoring them 19-7 on transition buckets in the second half (30-18 overall).

That the Rockets shot over 50% in the first half brings cause for concern, but overall San Antonio Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich was pleased with the pace.

“We would certainly like to keep up the pace a bit, get a little bit longer outlets and attack a little more after makes,” Popovich said. “We will continue that, I think it helped us.”
