I wonder what Mr. Skelton would think of Fox News's hate-filled fear-mongering spin doctrine that they inject into their daily programming.

My guess is, that fundamental desire to break from unity, to form a chasm in the American populace, to segment people and turn the public into a "you vs. me" black and white baseline would anger him far, far more than any omittance of a couple of words from a comparatively meaningless pledge to a flag.

The importance of principles and actions would likely far outweigh the attention to repeated ceremony in his eyes. But of course, that's just silly conjecture on my part.
