Son Belly-Nelly wishes he was half as good as Manu....
Unless other people start making shots, we're one Manu slump from this game running away from us. The way we're playing the matchups, I don't really see the defense improving in the second half (barring personnel changes). We're most likely to lose the rebounding battle at this point. Tim is the only rebounder out there, really.
Son Belly-Nelly wishes he was half as good as Manu....
I am still scratching my head over why Pop refuses to play Splitter. He is either:
A. Stubborn
B. Well I guess he might just be stubborn, I don't know somebody fill me in. Can't argue with 11-1 but if Bonner goes up against Pau "The Most Skilled Bigman" Gasol. Gasol will go for 45, 20, 5, 5, and 5 on 100% shooting.
bonner is a free ticket to the basket
Cue Bonner going 5 for 5 from downtown in the second half, making half this thread look re ed... until the playoffs that is.
Dont want to dog on Bonner too much in regards to rebounding since thats not his role and he simply sucks at it, but he failed to box out multiple times. His hands are almost never ready to catch rebounds because he keeps them low and the most annoying he simply doesnt box out. Bonners played the most minutes and hes got 2. Timvp's analysis of the last 7 games thread probably says it best "Each season, his rebounding rate has dropped precipitously" and so far this game is no different.
i dont get what would happen if pop played splitter for a bit, see what he can do
he can always pull him out if he sucks
these are top tier NBA players shooting those shots here. Difficult shots yes, but Bull shots no.
Belinelli is just too good though. Don't argue with BRHornets he knows what he's talking about.
I hope we're working on a trade to get Belinelli over here in exchange for bald-headed Ginobili.
LOL Bonner is second to Manu (+5) with a +4
In 2007, when we won the le, Matt Bonner played 11.7 minutes per game. Have we won since then? That's what I thought. Sit Matt Bonner's ass down!
Splitter's mistake at the end of the half won't help his cause.
Anyways, entertaining half. TP and Manu have been exploited the Magic's main flaw -- perimeter defense. Hopefully Duncan can stay out of foul trouble in the second half. He's defending Howard about as well as I've ever seen him defend him ... other than that one drop-step dunk. McDyess was surprisingly helpless against Howard.
Limiting the Magic's threes and doing a better job of the glass is also needed to get the W.
its no wonder we getting outrebounded with bonner in there, and even hill playing sf
seriously
It's hard for me to see us get even in the rebounding column......Magic will miss some but will we continue to hit from downtown????
Bonner 18:04, Splitter 9 sec. Pop, Why don't you just trade Splitter? FU POP!!
Blair over Lewis. I love it.
The halftime show suggests tha Pop gets on the team for failing to rebound. But Pop is a pretty smart guy, if he knows that hes playing Bonner the most minutes out of any spur, can he really get on them about rebounding?
LOL that silly human thinks he can break Manu
Yeah, its pretty simple in theory. I said it before the game: Rebound and limit 3's. But that is why the Magic are so good, you know what you have to do and you can't.
I was worried about the Spurs falling behind early, so I'll take this half. Lets go.
