Long term we would lose no because we can't just wipe out all animals and expect to survive.

However, there's no question we'd win a war against all other organisms on Earth. LOL, some of you really think we'd lose with all of the technology and weaponry we have?

    Funny thought for a thread.
I mean, if every rhino and elephant came charging at whatever human strongholds we had, don't you think that would fall?

So we win and kill all/most of the animals and have to become vegetarians? I don't know, that seems like a pretty bitter loss to me.
We'd continue to farm them just as we do now for food. If they refuse to mate with one another to deprive us of a food source, we will clone them and brainwash their young.

Does this include viruses, bacteria, and parasitical involvement? If so, nature can say, "We stackkkkkedddddddd!"

Ants alone would take humans down. It's not even a contest.

Kangaroos on horseback, monkeys in battle gear....so the animals would get themselves organized into armies with weapons and plans, they aren't just being regular animals any more? That's scary....

Probably just a couple of unarmed scorpions and a centipede could do me in

Nonsense. A charging rhino wouldn't seriously damage an M1A1 Abrams tank, to say nothing of a bunker with a foot of reinforced steel or anium. Get enough metal and it just stops yielding to flesh and bone.

Be enough for anyone, really. If we're considering a hypothetical in which ALL animals and insects are specifically determined to end us, poisonous and/or disease carrying insects could easily get us in our sleep. Could probably wipe us all out before anyone even realized what was going on.

Build the secret Moon and Mars bases we've been planning for 2012 but haven't told anyone about. Then fly there and nuke the Earth. We win.

    Plus we get new housing.

Or we could napalm the out of the animals.

On a sort of related topic, yesterday at my store we were discussing if being at the store was the best place to be in a zombie situation. Wasn't there a topic about this?

Best realistic place or best "ideal" situation?

Realistically, it all depends on how much access you have to your own source of food, and how intelligent the zombies are. If you can grow your own food and they don't realize that food = humans, then way out in the country far away from civilization, preferably off the grid.
