Problem is that with the total lack of moderation this board is basically a more mature version of that stupid 4chan site.

Kori only attempts to control things when people complain and timvp is too busy trolling like everyone else. You can pretty much do whatever you want, so idiots will ruin this place eventually.

I remember that idiot Dr House compared this board to "Hitler's reign on Nazi Germany" and it stayed on the front page forever

This place was fine until the last month or so IMO..it's all mediocre attempts at trolling now..a lot of gray wannabes IMO..it used to be the most balanced sports forum..the top posters have been replaced by grays..

I obviously realize what Bump has been trying to do lately(anybody that knows him can tell), but he gets a pass, for obvious reasons..

tbh, the traffic in here is what makes it so good.

I've tried posting on forums where you have to wait like a week for someone to reply or places like the ESPN board, where there's so much traffic, you're thread is off the front page in 10 minutes

It's also funny that people complained for years about the MK killing the NBA forum..it's currently at it's lowest point ever IMO, and the MK isn't even contributing to that..in fact, their absence has hurt it significantly..

to be fair, I don't think it's the mav krews disappearance, it's more like in the last few months, we had numerous amounts of stupid Laker fans signing up in the boards. TheMachine, Lakaluva, and even Kool_aidman were one of the main Laker fans that annoyed people, but it seemed like we balance it out with other posters. now we have a bunch of laker fans that decided to join after the Lakers won the championship (Quit hatin', History2b, other stupid Laker fans) I think they are bringing the quality of this forum down for sure and it's hard to handle all of them.

I'm usually one of the defenders of the NBA forum, but it has become really bad in the last month/month and a half or so..the banning of DOK and M>S has had a part in it, but it's also due to other factors..

I usually dislike message board elitists that complain about trolling, so I'm not trying to do that..I don't care about the trolling that we've seen here for a long time..this "new" trolling is horrible though..it's lazy and repe ive..

Posting the same quote a 100 times in a row isn't trolling, it's just annoying and spams the entire board..trolling is supposed to be clever..this forum was great at working good shticks that were entertaining and clever, to balance everything out..now, it's horrible shticks and repe ive that just spams the forum..I'm not pointing any fingers, but it's not the former "regulars" here that are the culprits..

I obviously love the trash talking, since I'm usually in it..nothing wrong with the "lol" threads..nothing wrong with feuds and whatever..most of the threads are horrible now, though..

1. Lakaluva posts a stupid thread about the Spurs or whatever..everybody knows he's going to do it, we all know what he does, we accept it, he's good at it..

2. Spurs fans make a retaliation thread that serves no purpose at all, it just takes up room, it has the same content as Lakaluva's thread, making it pointless..it doesn't affect him at all, he's getting what he wants, he wins in the end..

It's pretty much going to be the death of this place, sadly..an example of a good "troll thread" is Mono's last thread about his 4lokos..it led to random, entertaining discussion..that's pretty much how all the troll threads used to be..

The exception was the calf tats , but that usually stayed in 1 lane..now, pretty much every thread is a copy of the "calf tats" threads, with no balance whatsoever..it's all uncreative, horrible schticks that serve no purpose and don't provide any entertainment or quality..

Hopefully, everybody can help clean it up, at least to the level it was at last year, or a few more of us will be added to the retirement list..

Lakaluva has become incredibly predictable lately. Every thread he starts is about Tim Duncan and every reply seems to insult the Spurs, even when the topic had nothing to do with them. That lack of creativity and imagination deserves a crapflood derailment. When Luva was in top form, I had no problem bantering with him and playing his game. Now, he's fallen into a lazy rut, and his material is currently at lowest common denominator status.

I've fallen into a similar routine, I suppose. I do focus on trolling/inciting Lakers fans way too much, so I definitely need to freshen up my material.
