We are lacking in bigs, not in perimeter shooters.

Those guys mentioned in this thread aren't going to improve our defense. We need some good defenders who can spot up and shoot the three, but I would prefer a good big to share the floor with Tim against bigger teams.

We may be lacking in defensive minded 7 footers, but we are in no way lacking bigs. This forum wont shutup about Tiago's/Dice's lack of minutes and you want to trade for another big? No. We are however lacking a legit backup SF and we are lacking defense on the perimeter.

Blair is undersized, & Bonner might as well be. Splitter gets very few minutes, while Duncan & Dice are old. My point being is we could use an upgrade. Hopefully when JA comes back we will have our backup SF covered. He showed promise, despite being slightly undersized. Either way, we are truly lacking in both positions atm. IMO.

JA isn't really undersized, he's about as tall as Pierce, maybe slightly taller. Not every team has a 6'9" SF who is the best finisher in the league on his drives, is super athletic and strong, makes killer jump shots including 3 pointers, passes with the best of them, plays great defense, AND has a fellow superstar and a more than capable All-star on his team with him.

I said slightly undersized. I know 6'6 is reasonable, but we would obviously prefer around 6'8 or so. Your right, not everyone is Pierce, Lebron, Melo, Etc(size or skill). But more size would be great. Manu is about the same size as JA, & I know I dont want him to be our starting or permanent backup SF. There are some big boys at that position in the league. Or maybe I a stupid.

Fail. Pierce is 6'7". Anderson is 6'6"...... and Anderson is an SG by trade.

Ok, we aren't lacking perimeter players either. We are lacking GOOD bigs. Tiago would get minutes over Darko. That should tell you were we are at with him. We need a big presence in the paint, like a David Lee or someone around that range. , I would take one of the Lopez dudes.
