But doesn't it seem like some people here feel that Splitter is a really good player who's play doesn't reflect that? Isn't that also self contradicting?

I think that most people are coming around to the fact that Splitter is a role player whose ceiling will be to provide 15-20 minutes of solid play and prevent the Gasols of the world from killing the Spurs while Duncan is on the bench.

There may be a few more delusional folks out there, but they are definitely in the minority.

So if that means Pop's putting him on the injured list...we're only going to have 10 healthy players counting Tiago and Chris Quinn for the next 5 games at least. ...

This is going to be a make or break game for Tiago as far as how his minutes will come for the rest of the season. He must stay out of foul trouble/hold his position on D and go strong to the basket/get to the foul line on the other end. He can't be concerned with replacing Bonner's scoring (let's face it, Rocket's been a beast lately). RJ, Hill and Neal will have to pick up the slack there.
This is a huge opportunity for Splitter and he has got to show the team he can be a solid, dependable contributor. There are definitely trust issues with Pop and his teammates that he can only repair with how well he performs on the floor. It's time for everyone to see what we've been waiting for.
