dirk literally IS the mavs...he's our only capable scorer, without him we were terrible in that stretch...duncan can't take over a game or command double and triple teams, especially not while shooting 53%..no argument. NONE.

You literally did not address anything in my post. If Dirk had TP/Manu, he wouldn't score as much. Dirk on the Spurs makes us worse. If he had other help, he could not anchor a defense like Tim, and maintain near 50% FG like Tim. Dirk literally gets to coast and hide out on defense.

So again, please explain to me why Dirk is clearly deserving and Tim is so obviously not when Tim out rebounds/assists/steals/blocks/defends Dirk and his team has the number one record in the league. Tim also is tops in the league at point differential defensively from when he is on vs off the court.

Literally, all Dirk does better than Tim is score points, but Tim doesn't have to score because he has Manu/TP. If Dirk had those two, he wouldn't score as much either and he wouldn't anchor the defense. In fact, he has Tyson to do the heavy lifting on that end so he can rest up and hide out.

Again, I am not trying to argue Tim>>>>>>>>>>>Dirk, I am asking for someone to refute what I have said before on why Tim is some egregious pick and Dirk is not?

Because Dirk is having a MVP-type year and carries his team. Duncan is having a mediocre year. Just because he plays center and gets more rebounds and blocks doesn't mean he is better than Dirk. And just because he is on a better team doesn't mean anything either.
I don't see how spurfan always talks about how Duncan is so great at D, but when someone goes off (like LA) duncan "wasn't guarding him". Why wasn't he is hes such a great defender? Doesn't make sense to me tbh.
