From what I heard from someone who works at Univision, the station will continue to be commercial free until the next ratings come out and if there's a good followership they will interview DJs. So it should probably be awhile before there's commercials. The reception comes and goes for me also but I prefer listening to 97.7 instead of KISS, especially in the morning, I like to listen to music instead of hearing lisle/hahn talking.
It was working earlier, but now it just continously refreshes and hasn't opened the link...
I'll re-upload to megaupload and post a link when it's done.

Reception on this ty station is horrible. I still can barely pick it up in my truck.
The people who can't tune to it aren't missing much. Basically it's a KISS clone. Same damn music. I don't mean the same type of music, I mean the same exact songs.
I tuned to 97.7 and listened to it for a while then I switched to KISS and it played the same exact song that I was listening to on 97.7. WTF mang

man, i live in Austin, i love 101x , but honestly, wow, i think 97.7 is off to a way better start..../i only get ot when im south, ,,but yo...its awesoem IMO!

No , I never understood why there needs to be a second station, that plays the EXACT SAME SONGS... even at the EXACT SAME TIME. Has there been no new music made since 1998?
My brother left for Florida 6 years ago. Came back recently and swears they were playing the same exact song when he left, when he came back.

No , I was shocked that more of the same Top 40 crap was being shoved down everyone's throats. It's like they're trying to make people quit listening to FM radio altogether, there's no ing reason to have the same song start on two different channels, or switch through 4 channels and hear the same song 4 times in the same drive. Ridiculous.
Obviously, KISS and 97.7 aren't that great, but one 90s-modern rock station alone just feels so much more dull.
Eh - they had a ty transmitter or something because I could be in main parts of town and not pick that damn station up clearly.
Rock stinks, that includes classic rock, same songs all the time. Any classic soul stations in san Antonio?
When i was in San Antonio in the mid 1990s I remember listening to a classic soul station on AM radio. It played lots of rare old soul. I don't remember what that was, some little local station.
They want that stereo effect?
All the good old school music lovers that know real classic rock are either dead or to fat and drugged up on prescription medication to operate an FM station.
And the ones who are still able to show up to work already have jobs as program directors or producers of radio stations that do sports and topic radio.

Classic rock itself doesn't suck. You have to remember a lot of stations have VERY shallow playlists. There is a huge amount of good stuff that never really makes it on the air.
Yeah, I couldn't get 97.7 all the time but I did listen from time to time. Classic Rock works for me but I do jump around to other formats. Country, Oldies, Jack-FM etc. There are too many top-40, hip-hop stations IMO.
I remember KNNC with the psycho-baby from Austin in the mid-nineties.
The day K-Nack became another ty "me-too" pop station, I knew that the vital spirit that made Austin unique was getting pre-empted by the money that arrived in the city from Cali.

Also saying classic rock sucks does three things to the person who says that.
First is shows your age.
second it shows you have no clue about music.
Half the bands today used classic rock to get an idea what they wanted to play. All real musicians always give credit to the ones before them.
U2 gives credit to Alice Cooper Alice Cooper gives credit to the Stones the stones gives credit to Chuck Berry .......
Third if you have a decent classic rock collection you don't have to play slow ride three times a day.
You can play April wine early judas priest (they sounded like Texas blues rock) you can play Gamma,the hunt,the godz,Frank marino,Garfield,Budji,and Triumph for three days and not have to play the same song twice.
So it's not Fog hats fault people hate classic rock its the 25 year old bag wannabee radio DJ.
