    Beat me to it, Whisky. I just wanted to add that Sanders has been pretty disappointed with the lack of contact from UT as he's stated before that's his dream school. All seems to be well now that Duane Akina is back in his groove. I've heard he could end up being the best CB in this class. Look for him to commit to UT when/if he's offered next Saturday.

    *QB Connor Brewer of Scottsdale, AZ has been doing a bit of his own recruiting lately. He and top OL Andrus Peat of Tempe, AZ have been talking a bit since Peat was offered by Texas and Brewer stated he's doing all he can to get Peat to Austin in the spring. Brewer will be in Austin next weekend for the second UT Junior Day.

    I'm kind of perplexed that we're targeting kids in SEC country as those tend to have "agreements" in place to certain places such as St. Aquinas in Fla feeding Miami. As corrupt as SEC country recruiting is how donwe expect to lure a kid if we're not throwing around our big $$$? I'm hoping that it's just the coaches going after kids they were already recruiting no matter how slim the chances and not that we're playing the game now.

    A&M's third junior day is this weekend and the following are expected to be attendance.

    Michael Wilson, OL, Aledo
    Jordan Richmond, LB, Denton Ryan

    Jaydrick Declouet, WR, Patterson (LA)

    Brown and Cole are a bit of a surprise but it's being confirmed that they will be in attendance. As you can see we are recruiting Louisiana pretty hard this year and expect to get a few of them to commit soon. Gray will be in attendance but doubt anything happens there as I i'm pretty sure he will end up with the Horns. We have a better chance with Williams now IMO.

    I havn't really heard about anyone having an advantage with Williams so far although he is a tech legacy so he could very well end up there or will at least take a good look at them.

    Apparently Wheeler was unimpressed with our Junior day in some way and didn't leave on the best terms. Texas should be able to lock this kid up.

    I pretty much just get all my info from Liucci.

    Liucci has Richmond rated a lot higher then Orangebloods does. It is a nice pick up. We are going to be really stacked at the LB position when its all said and done.

    *Some bad news from this morning...ATH Kendall Sanders of Athens threw a curveball and committed to Oklahoma State. There's no explanation as to why he made a move before attending Texas' Junior Day this weekend, but most think it's because Texas wanted him at DB while other schools were offering him as a WR (the position he truly wants to play). It's a shame because he was a big-time DB prospect for the Horns. I doubt he makes a trip to Austin this weekend seeing as how he's now committed to another school.

    *The good news from the weekend was WR Dominique Wheeler of Crockett has all but eliminated Texas A&M from his list of schools. Something happened at the Aggies' Junior Day that apparently rubbed Wheeler the wrong way. I've even seen the situation described as "awkward" and "uncomfortable." He now lists his possible schools in the order of TCU, Texas and Auburn.

    *The best news overall is the Brenham duo of DT Malcom Brown and LB Tim Cole did not commit to the Aggies over the weekend. They will both be in Austin this weekend for a camp and then they'll attend the Texas Junior Day afterwards. Now, I still think the Aggies are the favorites for both, but the fact that this will be Cole's third trip to Austin since January 18th can't be ignored. He's been quoted as saying that the first UT Junior Day was his favorite experience thus far in the recruiting process and he's been in Brown's ear about it. I think his heart is all UT right now and all the better for Horns the longer their recruitments play out.

    From what I have heard Dominique was upset on how some of the coaches were treating him. A&M had a lot of top studs in attendance and Dominique felt he wasn't the main priority with our coaching staff which turned him off. He also didn't get a 1 on 1 with Sherman which he was looking for and he is the kind of kid who wants the attention and spotlight on him and him only. It came as a surprise because early reports were he was very excited and pleased to be in college station. It's a shame because this kid has enormous potential and can be something special.

    I agree, Cole and Brown are the duo to watch. Most feel the Aggies are still clear favorites to land the duo but concern is starting to rise. Cole and Brown were quoted a long time ago saying they wouldn't make a decision until March and Brown has always planned on making a trip to Austin so I am not real sure what to make of it. Should be interesting to see though... especially if Cole prefers UT and Brown prefers A&M.

    I hope our 2012 class is a late bloomer because outside of picking up Brewer right off the bat it's pretty much sucked. Not sure what to make of it but as of 2/21/11 even aggie is kicking our ass on this class. The good news is some reports are stating we are a big leader for Skyline's stud WR Thomas Johnson. That one will help if it plays out, but I'm thinking we'll need some magic with an OOS or two, the Brenham brats showing an about face, or a sudden winfall of recruits like Gray, C. Jones, Wheeler, etc. to get this thing jump started.
