In all seriousness, if you're not a recluse or awkward, the social scene will take care of itself. As far as the actual school part, there's only 2 things you gotta do: Go to class, and do the readings. I don't know know about you but I never really considered "reading" as homework, and never took it seriously. String also gave you some good advice...meet with your professors during office hours at least once--preferably at the beginning of the semester--especially when you're in some of those large 101 intro classes. The professors will know your name and not look at you as just another face in the crowd.

It's cliche, but it really is the best time of your life, live it up...after that you get only a handful of good moments each year, but the rest is one problem after another

dont date during college. bang as many 18 year olds as you can. then date when you graduate. make friends with people who have wealthy parents and get to know their parents. those are some of the best job opportunities. also, the alumni network can be key if you go to a large or prestigious school. if you see an older guy wearing your school apparel, strike up a convo. you'll never know what kind of info he/she could hold.

the most important thing you learn in college is how to respectively and confidently approach strangers. there's other ways to make buck when you get out of school than throwing your life away over differential equations.

also, every break you should have a group of buddies to rent a place in padre, colorado, etc. and enjoy the out of being young. it took me two+ years in college to figure out how much little time i really have left. live it up, and dont let a woman "claim" you. when you turn 21, live like youre 21.

do all you can to make good grades, though, but dont let it consume you. ive had several recurring nightmares because of it. also, study abroad even if its a maymester. you'll love it.

well it all worked for me. touche on studying, though. my perspective is coming from someone who rolled on 4.0s every semester, but it took years off my life. however, if youre someone who's approachable, and you make a positive impression, you'll beat out any awkward academic recluse who has a higher gpa. take my advice with a grain of salt, as anything anybody tells you.

that's why im not posting as much anymore because ive used my free time to enjoy being in college instead of on a messageboard gang. studying is alot easier when you're not aimlessly lurking on the internet. ill say this last - student loans can be spent on more than tuition. good luck.

No way. Avoid all non-math classes at all costs. Whether you have to do a Fourier transform at some point is a good litmus test for finding if a class is worth taking.
Some people love math. Other people hate math.

    That simple.

Well do well in your first year and everything will be easier from then on. If you set a bad start to your college stint most likely it'll be downhill from that point on, unless you have a strong resolve.

Make a habit to study, do recreational things, and acquire as much sleep as possible when you can get it.

If you're a communications major you shouldn't have problems with those three things mentioned above.

If you are going to ask people on the internet, you are pretty much ed.

Talk to your parents about it. Hopefully they can be honest with you.

I don't know what Stringer was talking about... take math classes. If you aren't good at math, study more to compensate.

Lucky bas , I'd love to be at UCF. I'm pretty much at the northern version, where it's tough to see too many dime pieces during most of the school year. But once winter ends and the nice spring weather moves in, apparently so do all of the es. They all magically appear, crowding the quads in their bikinis for some sun-bathing. Those times are optimal for letting the eyes wonder, since it's sunny, the girls s and ass are poppin in ty bathing suits, and I'm wearing shades cus it's sunny out, and they cannot see my eyes
