Do you realize that Hondo won les 13 years apart? During the 60s, he was very much the Bryant to Russell's O'Neal, and then in the 70s, the Celts became his team, which resulted in him winning his first Finals MVP. His career is very much split in two, just like Kobe's.

And yeah, Bryant's role was greater in all the championships he won. Let's neglect the fact that his stats are worse than Duncan's, he has less Finals MVPs, and had the best player in the league on his team during the 3 peat.

Ginobili was robbed in 2005. He was majorly responsible for the wins in games one and two, and then aside from the losses in games three, four and six, Robert Horry was the MVP of game five. Duncan was decent enough in game seven, but no way did that performance justify being deemed MVP of the series. Easy, lazy decision by the NBA.

Any Spurs fan knows that Ginobili was the true MVP of the 2005 finals. He could/should be awarded it if we win this year, but it'll just go to Duncan again.

Duncan, absolutely. The only reason he didn't win it in 2007 is because we beat Cleveland so bad that we didn't need dominant games fom Tim. Yet Tim didn't care - he just wanted to win.

As opposed to Bryant, who was so terrified that Pau would win the MVP in last year's Finals that he chucked it up every time he touched it. Yet the league still gave him the MVP trophy, despite one of the worst - if not the worst - individual performaces in Finals history.
