What makes you think you're out of the tsunami zone?
In that case run for higher ground

Checking the evacuation zones on the map. From the looks of it, the evac zones are relatively shallow. (Then again, maybe it's because I'm used to the much larger ing hurricane evac zones after living in MS... natural disaster follows me.)
Then again, you never know. They say the wave is going to hit at 3 AM. Maybe it will be like last year, where they hyped up a possible wave that was about as bad as high tide.
600 students at a graduation party where the roof caved in, damn.
... maybe.
Worse comes to worse, I'll go up to the second floor and call the boss to see if I still have to go to work. Maybe we'll get out of the monthly "Warrior Run"![]()
It really depends, LNGrrrR. If the faulting occurred from a N-S fault, you're probably going to get hit pretty hard. If it's an E-W fault, you'll likely be ok.
I should have been in bed an hour ago but I can't pull myself away from the tsunami coverage

Live feed. Tsunami starting to wash ashore in places now. Looks bad.
Can't be any worse than Katrina...![]()
But yeah, looks like it will be a long night... blah.
You never know. So be careful and hopefully it doesn't get bad over there.
run LnGrrrR run!!!
better yet, get in your jet and high tail it to canada
It's a ing island... where am I supposed to run to?![]()
Maybe I can go into one of the Hatches from Lost... those looked pretty secure...
We can only hope that the population had some kind of warning this time.
Most of the population in Japan is away from the location of the quake so that probably explains all the farmland that you saw on those video feeds.
You're looking at t-minus 5 hours before the tsunami hits you, LnG.
