Firstly, this is bull .
Secondly, if you actually paid attention to my comments, you'd notice that I said specifically I wasn't really referring to anything that happened in the video. I was referring to the comments posted in response. I could have made the same point in the thread about the guy who put a woman in a coma over a parking spot. In both cases, people attempted to justify a violent reaction with the suggestion that this stuff just happens in the heat of the moment. Again, I don't get how a lack of control became a viable excuse.
Do I expect, in either situation, for people to have the composure to just walk away from someone actively hitting them? Not necessarily. I've never been in a physical altercation (other than getting smacked by my mom when I was a kid), but I doubt sincerely that I'd be able to just walk away from someone provoking me in that way because I know I can have a bit of a temper. So, yeah, I get it. Doesn't mean I think it's the appropriate response, however. And certainly doesn't mean I think that losing one's temper serves as an excuse for such a response.
