You'd want a shorter rotation in the playoffs, but since Bonner is in that rotation then I'd much rather consider what you said instead of Splitter not playing at all.
This stat is worthless - as the sample size is too small and the cir stances in which Splitter has spent time on the court (usually on the court during garbage time or most recently in place of TD)
with larger sample size and Splitter on the court with regular rotations I think most objective fans realize that stat would be very different.
I am not a Bonner hater - I just wish Pop would play to matchups more, but just a matter of what a coach is comfortable with.
I think when you have big man that aren't complete players skillset wise or have physical limitations (Bonner,Blair,Splitter) then you let the matchup dictate who is in.
The other school of thought is you focus on what your players do well, not your opponent, and set a rotation in place allowing your players to fill comfortable in their role which for the most part has been Pop's way.
My hope (not counting on it) is that Pop will play Splitter some this playoffs when the matchups make sense. The Lakers are obviously where Splitter could help the most.

Tiago could average 20 & 10 the next 3 games and he'd back at the end of the bench by the playoffs.
"Earning minutes" is no longer a practice employed by Pop. It's strictly how well you know the system regardless if you're sucking it up on the court.
The only chance Tiago could see any type of playing time in the playoffs is if one of the bigs goes down with injury, and thats a fact.
And judging from Bonner's poke in the eye last night, even that's not gonna do it...

now I'm not in the F.M.B, why Matt Bonner ? I don't get it. He is who is, everybody knows his limitations, he should be used on certain circunstances and to give some 3s spark when hot during 7 to 10 mn. It's not his fault if Pop is playing him 20 mn a game against guys like Dirk. I'm sure he is doing his job honestly, he must be a cool dude.
Matt Bonner because he misses big shots when it counts. He obvioulsy gets a pass for all his other shortcomings. All he has to do is just hit the three. That's it.

Yesterday Spurs were leading 14-10 in the first quarter, Bonner came in and next thing you know Spurs were behind 22 to 14. I know he has some good days but they are not often and are too far in between now. I just hope that he can turn it around and hustle some more come playoffs time. I know, I know that history has shown us it will not happen, but that is what faith is all about.

About 98 percent of Spurstalk is in.. I guarantee you that... There are a still a few Boner lovers out there who actually think he'll do anything in the playoffs.
It's just not gonna happen guys, Splitter won't be in the playoff rotation when the time comes, so I wouldn't hold your breath.
But i look forward to the future seasons ahead of us.
