Jacob has amazing talent. Maybe more than anyone on there. I have my issues with him and all that but I think it was his best performance by far. I think he connected with people this week. We'll see.

This was the perfect week for Jacob to do Earth/Wind/Fire "Reasons." I can't believe those idiot producers put him up to "Let's Get It On" and "Man in the Mirror." Those songs belong to those artists, it's so stupid to put ANY singer into those shoes. In a way, that's the genius of Earth/Wind/Fire, it can be intrepreted but is distinct enough to where you NEED talent to pull it off. Anyone can sing the they've given Jacob, it's been dissappointing lately cuz he was my favorite to win it. /end rant

Yeah. I have the impression the producers are pushing their will too much on the contestants. I'm not for coddling them BUT staying in line with past seasons, past criteria, I think they're trying a little too hard to shape the artist even before the winner is picked. Maybe theyre wanting to have a bigger payoff with the winner as opposed to past winners, I don't know. He meant that every person (in the top 13) prior to tonight that was eliminated wasn't white. So, he was commenting on Jacob being in the bottom three, I'm guessing.
I am freakin' shocked at the results -- with Jacob, Pia and Stefano up there, I would have bet a million dollars Stefano was going home.

Laura Alaina is not very good...her singing is ok but she has no compelling stage presence...maybe she is still too young...

Pia wasn't that great--but it was the stupid ugly Gwen Stefani outfit that ruined it for her...if she had anything going for her (Pia)...it was her legs...and she continued wearing jumpsuits...dumb...her singing was just ok...
I thought Stefano sang the best on this week...but somehow he keeps falling into the bottom three and I just don't get it...he is at least better than 5 or six of the others....
The judges are really no help...it is just all great for them..no-one ever is criticized ....
I would not be surprised if somehow they bring her back at some point.
Maybe she can take the stage next time Jeff Beck calls in sick.
This happened because a lot people are not voting for who is best but voting to keep some from going home. Paul I am looking at you.
It was bound to happen! Pia was becoming a little arrogant by not listening "sooner" to the judges to sing something different. She kept on singing those ballads, now look what happened! Pia's fans might be at fault for not voting, but the judges share the blame too. They saved Casey which was a stupid move...a very stupid move!!
They really are pathetic. This week was the last week I'll watch. It's just too annoying to hear them fawn over mediocre performances without offering any real critique.
